I started using it, and just to get back into the feel of modelling I had a question about flipping the normals, or the key in Editable Poly known as 'Flip'.
I click it and it doesn't flip or let you see work inside of the box. The box just turns black.
Any suggestions on help?

3ds Max 2010 DOES flip the normals, you don't see it because of the black shadowing. Move the camera inside and you will see it. :)

Right click > properties > select backface culling

This is beginning to get frustrating, you guys helped, but now I make simple box and flip it, and I get a ton of errors... It's a plain that's flipped.
How!?

Make it an editable mesh first before exporting.

Backface Cull option. I had this problem with Max 9 when I started using it.
