Hello, I am making a custom ammo meter using Photoshop and this is the gray colour that I have used for part of the Alpha Channel:

But when I check the gray colour using the Eyedropper Tool, the red, green and blue values have automatically changed from 52, 52, 52 to 53, 53, 53:

This happens to quite a few colour values, not just 52, 52, 52.
I know I can stop the colour from changing automatically by making the image 16 bits, but I don't think Tool can convert it to a .bitmap. Is there another way of stopping the colour from changing automatically? Hopefully someone understands what I'm talking about, and help would be much appreciated!
