My seagate 60gb sata drive is no longer showing up in my computer. I really doubt it crashed since I never use that drive but it is possible.
How exactly do I do diagnostics on the drive I haven't run then in a long time.

I had a similar problem. Just power down and just push all your wires in a little more to make sure the connections are solid, and dust the thing out. I did that when I had that problem and everything worked fine after.

The wires are secure. I can hear the drive running. It might be possible that I have the wrong sata slot active. I have like 4 slots and only one enabled. I'll check my BIOS next time I restart my computer.

All Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management -> See if it shows up there. (Note: using Vista here, might be a bit different for Win 7 or XP)
If it doesn't show up, than that can mean that the drive itself or the enclosure is dead. If it shows up but isn't active, Try "marking partition as active" or assign it a drive letter.

Oddly, I just reset my PC because fallout 3 was crashing and now the vista drive is showing up.
Weird.

It was your vista drive as well? Same here.

That's strange. Isn't your vista hard drive the one you're using? If so, it shouldn't be a surprise that it shows up.

I don't use the vista drive. It wasn't showing up for a few days. I post here. It starts showing up again.
I only use vista for the occasional H2V game.

Usually you have to assign Vista drives letters manually in the Disk Manager or they don't display properly. If you haven't done that you should look into it.
