They sell adaptors so you can plug your old NES, SNES, Genesis, or Atari controllers into your PC. Or, if you don't have your old controllers anymore, they sell modded NES and SNES controllers so that they are USB :3

I bought the NES cable adaptor thinger, and... it actually feels like an NES (aside from the high resolution haha)

As always, emulators and roms should only be used if you own the original game and blah blah blah.

I own the original game.

Lol, why do you have so many copies of the same thing?

When you go to garage sales a lot of times they'll just have a box with a price on it.

Somehow every box has Mario in it. lol

Lol, well anyway, nice find. I know that my dad had picked up a thing that converted a Gamecube controller in to a usb connection. Was kind of cool for emulators like Project 64.

What I wouldn't give to have my NES work again.
Fixed that for me. You just can't emulate Duck Hunt.

Also, you could just buy a wired 360 controller. You could probably reprogram the buttons to work effectively for most controllers, and it's more ergonomic than most old controllers, such as the original NES brick controller.

That reminds me of my friends huge NES collection games.

Have you ever used the 360 Dpad? lol

I have a wired 360 controller.... it's not comparable at all to the old NES controller for these types of games.

Plus.. it helps you not want to cheat using savestates and fast forward and all that stuff.

If you've played Super Mario Bros on an NES, then played it on an emulator with a 360 controller, you'd understand why it's not the same. It's playable... but it doesn't feel just right.

I was going to bring my NES down with me when I moved down here... but I didn't have room in my truck... and I didn't wanna have to bring 50 games down with me too :/.. but I wanted the "authentic" feel of it all... so using the original controller helps a lot... but... I'm trying to find a way to possibly make it less sharp hahaha things just don't look the same on my LCD as they did way back when on my tube TV... and having everything sharp just feels weird :/

Or I suppose you could always get one of those NES-compatible third-party consoles...
