Plasma Pistol Charging effects

These are some PP charging effects.

Credit to Bungie for some sprites.

It'll overwrite the default tags.

Problems up the ass:

-Your modified weapon is the "h2 plasma pistol.weapon" tag, not the regular "plasma pistol.weapon." For those who don't have the HUD, they won't be loading the proper weapon in their item collection tag.
-Missing the tag "halo3\weapons\spartan laser\effects\muzzle flash.light."
-A couple of H2 HUD tags are required.

Add in that one .light tag and make sure that the H2 HUD is entirely seperated from the tags. Also, videos help. Fraps + Youtube = win.

I'll comment on the tags themselves once I get 'em working.

EDIT: Kay, got it.

-The center energy ball is boring and bland.
-Lines are too slow and not frequent enough.
-Lightning rarely shows up.

Other than that, nice. The red/green outline is particularly neat.

hmm, forgot about the problems the h2 hud would cause. I'll change the default .weapon as well.
I swear I removed all references to the muzzle flash. Odd, I'll fix that.


In what ways could it be made more interesting?
I'll reduce the duration time for the spikes so that they pop up more.
Lightning, it should show up the same amount as the spikes. Odd.

Oh and TBH, I have no idea where the green/red outline came from. :smith:

The problem with the lightning is the size. By the time it's grown large enough to be seen over the center, it's already mostly faded away. As for the ball, I'm not sure. It's just what struck me immediately.

Keep the red. It's good.
