Since EA closed this games servers and dicontinued the production of the product it's now classed as abandonware and not warez. So don't even think about infracting me, thanks.

Earth & Beyond was a science fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Westwood Studios and published by Electronic Arts (EA). The game was released on September 24, 2002 in the United States. EA shut down Earth & Beyond on September 22, 2004. There are several efforts to set up websites and emulators which might make this game become active again but the most promising website is enb-emulator.com (http://www.enb-emulator.com). From what I remember in my short time in playing this game (a couple free trial accounts) it was a great Sci-Fi MMORPG like EvE, just without the gay economy and insanely complicated learning curve. Think Freelancer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freelancer_(video_game)) on steriods with lots of friends. So head over to enb-emulator.com (http://www.enb-emulator.com) and check out the progress so far, and let me know what it's like since I'm stuck in the hospital for another week or so...

Mmmmmmm Tasty abandonware. Some of the best mmo's have come out of just this situation. It really depends on who will step up in the community. I'll check it out, thanks for the heads up.

Well if you try it out and get it working, lemme know! I'm unable to test it out myself since my laptop power jack broke and I didn't resolder the replacement in yet. the hospital computer I have access to won't let me install anything, I doubt it would run it anyway...

Freelancer on steroids? I think I'll have to take a look at this one. Still play FL once in awhile, modded to run in widescreen. Something new, though, is good.

I think I've played the FL campaign 10 or so times now... Various mods added to the single player add a lot of fun, such as the ability to buy all the ships you see in the game if you've got the credits... Gunships and Battleships are great, there was a mod that actually ballanced the fights too, if you were in a battleship or whatever the chance encounters with pirates and stuff were scaled up to include gunships or another battleship, was awesome. Am playing with the bsg-galactica mod for FL now though, gotta get me a Battlestar MKIII.

But yes, Earth and Beyond is basically like FL multiplayer but with different classess and a decent storyline. Someone get it running with this enb-emulator and tell me how well it runs!

So did anyone try this out? Just going into surgery tomorrow so still haven't had a chance to try it out myself.
