Okay. So I was looking at the grass from a30/Halo and noticed it was a detail object kind of tag that you place on your bsp with some kind of brush. Than I saw the map paradis perdu and noticed it had quite a collection of detailed objects. So does anyone know how I can make custom detailed object tag that I can use for certain grass types, etc?

You mean the static grass, right?
Open up sapien, go to Hierarchy View. Open up Game Data, go down to Detail Objects. Click edit types, add any grass you want, then press ok. Go into properties view and click down on the one you want. Click away in sapien, a black line should appear where its going to show up. If you save, then reload the map in sapien, they should appear.

To set them up in guerrilla, I have no clue though, but if you go look at some of the stock ones, they should be pretty self explanatory.

Ya I'm just trying to learn to make a 3d mesh basically 1 single polygon and applying a custom grass texture to it in 3ds max and then making it into a detailed object. Or however it works.

Yes! There is one on halomaps. Thank you masters.

If you save, then reload the map in sapien, they should appear.

Reloading sapien isnt required. After you save the BSP they automatically appear.
