Teh Lag just finished the Mongoose anims, inferno is putting it in, Jcap going to set the Bunghole server, all the testers are ready , those I didn't aim and whom I promessed to be in and seeing this thread can reach me on aim : yoyorast : like gx shadow, rosco for example, and rams, freelancer where are you?

I hope we can have some serious test this time, it doesn't mean we can't have some fun...

The goal is mainly to test every doors and shields, test the random teles, see if there are no more invisible walls, find any reamining shortcuts and see if every gametype works fine... + anything else you can find.

Enjoy guys, the end of the tunnel is so near now..

Please make sure server doesnt even HAVE rec0. Just saying "we dont use it" doesnt cut it because like last time, they did.

I played it and liked it. The sounds on the vehicles were funny but I don't think they should be put in the final to be honest.. Otherwise it was quite fun besides from the spawn killing from base to base.

all the doors and shields seemed to work fine at first, then they lost sync.

i don't think they will ever work perfectly but that's just me.

other that that it was fun, minor fps issues but nothing major.

k the "jumpin music" vehicle isn't meant to play each time you jumpin, you ll have one chance over 50 to hear it in final..
the base spawn killing in race mode was too important because this is was a CMT race gametupe with no cehicle and this meant no one could escpae the bases and so everyone was killing eachotehr non stop..
the main shit I got, is the doors and shileds not syncking for everyone.. for some the door is open, for others its closed.. anyone noticed that.. plz guys you have to tell me
otherwise, are the random tele working?

And bout the atv anims, the driver posiiton is not enough aerodynimic for me and the way it moved in hdoan (or flamingrin I can't rememebr) version was so amazing, that I miss a bit this.. bout the passenger anim, not bad, but I thougth, Lag, you were oging to stop the camera to rotate at like 170° like we said..

Is it just me or was the suspension on the M257 stiff?
Game Play was Cool. Even know I got Pwn'ed.
I liked the music.....well.... not the Michael Jackson one. To un-gaming like.
Texturing looked in place and didnt hit any of the ghost geom I hit in other tests. Did get one slight vehicle stuck inside geom at the long ATV ramp. Just a tire.
I was getting shot through the shields.
Also, i didnt make it out of the base till i naded and rocket'ed my way out. Lulz

Yeah, some rought FPS looking at the island, was still playable though. Shields worked great. I noticed the right foot on the Mongoose driver was a little jacked up. Gates worked great too. Some serious spawn killing complaints going on. Maybe a shield that popped up in those open areas, but only stayed on for like, 15 seconds. Giving a teammate enough time to switch it on for reinforcements. I really wish it didn't have the password thing. Would really like to look around the map. But oh well.

It was a good beta, I enjoyed it. I didn't do as bad as I did in Bacon's screenie in the other games.

I would work on the poly level in the garage though... That area is just a lagfest with all the polies.

My main complaint: The password. Look, In the next build (unless it's the final) we need it so there's no password, making it so that we can EXPLORE it by ourselves and find other stuff.

Like in v1, 2 sections of texture are missing from the big tube. Right after the small bridge, go into the tube while looking up and keep going. I don't want anything like that in v2 and the only way to find that sort of stuff is to explore by yourself.

Spawn killing=bad. The little flaps that yoyo put in DO help, but we need to keep people from jumping over from the top of the garage. Because of that I doubt anyone even MADE IT to test the random tele.

:( I joined for about 10 seconds after waiting a while for a space. But because I have no graphics card I had about 3 frames per sec. So I kept walking of the edge of spawn Lol.

So I quit... I had a quick look at it in a local game and it looks nice, couldnt really look around much because I had not code. That is a good script you have added though, makes the game exception if you don't enter the code.

Looked really good though, wish I could of played on it...

Guys, sorry , but I wont retouch the model itself.. this would mean invisilbe wall appearing here and there for sure.. we spent so much time chasing for this with inferno and thefieryscythe that, its not thinkable..
and again for the spanw killing in race mode, it was because of no vehicle..

No. The build authorization is there for a purpose, which is to make sure it is not leaked or uploaded to Halomaps.


... Or we could just do a server and turn on Deathless.

FYI I get average of 10 fps with every setting as low as possible by far worst fps I get in any map including the cmt sp v1.

Edit just been playing with sky and I get like 2 fps max.

If I knew rcon to hcel I'd activate it.

probably not, there really is no way to portal a map like this.

exact portals will help in the tunnels and such, but anytime your outside your basically fucked.

Its not just that simple for some people. I.E, my mobo has a AGP slot, 8800GT is PCI-E right? Therefore I'd have to buy a whole new pc. Getting a decent one in UK costs a bomb.

This beta, running at 3360x1050, 40fps.

And that's what the switch from a laptop running a GMA 945 to a proper desktop with a 9800GT gets me.

Yeah tofu is the bomb. I love it. 2 mass points 14 polys and no texture. Optimized as fuck.

K guys, Inferno is compilling the last beta right now... Jcap is going to host it... hopefully it is the Last of the last beta... hopefully we're going to be able to release before the 5th or he 5 th of august..

Of the six players that were there at the end of the game that Synapse didn't crash on, three got killed off due to corruption (which I blame on SAPP's kicking, because all of our experimentation says players leaving and coming back screws with the data).

But regardless here is an attempt at a Yoyo v2 game on Cerebrum (http://cce.phpwnage.com/viewgame.php?g=128938228222307460). The beta won't break like this.

The only thing I saw that was weird/broken was when I was on the passenger seat of the 'goose and zoomed in with the sniper... it made the noise and put the overlay on the screen and made it slower to move, but it didn't actually zoom in.

My FPS was unbearable. I couldn't even stay in the map at all... Although I have a gut feeling there is something wrong with my video card because there has been some problems on EVERY map for the last several days.

Anyway, After hearing what I've been told by the testers and what I read here (one guy with a graphic card problem and another one, I dont rememebr..) there won't be anymore work on optimisation. Cause we got to focus on what's still causing problem.. I have my list ready, I'll talk to you soon inferno..

I think..That before the project was planned yoyorast and ghost(?)Shouldve taken a real nice look into what makes a map have great gameplay..I think that gameplay wise the first version played nice,simple gameplay.This got some gameplay,but seriously..all the shortcut fixing and all the shields/teleports/everything just ruins it..Basicly..I didnt see anyone whom used the panic rooms seriously yesterday..Idk..I thougt it would be great..But now i dont see why wasting 4 years...No offence..But i will only play this if any of my friends are..And i dont even know if they can run it...No offence...again:)

But they also seem to RAAAAAAAAAAAAPE your frame rate and cause a bit more lag than normal.

Having a classic version would be nice for people with ass computers who won't be able to play the nice version.

I just had an amazing idea.

I can write a low-end PC script that will remove 50% of the scenery from the map. So if someone on a low-end computer joins they can just run the script (probably a button in the menu) and BAM frame rate triples.

It didn't help me both under Linux (and win7) on the newer builds on my desktop nor under Win7 on my laptop with the older builds.

Good to hear.

And I think the decal issues depend on the card (and I'll add that my 9800 has no issues with decals - I don't get any framerate changes with them off, same goes for my GMA 950)

You guys have to realize that I just mean turning off decals helped. Turning down anything else helped too. The map just has some serious fps issues. But I'm hoping it all gets taken care of. Would be good.

I cant remember seeing any problems with decals, im running W7. But I have seen some display problems, random streeks of color coming from the top left. Looks a bit like an cracked LCD.

Sounds like it. Mine does that if I forget to turn on my portable fan for it. (GPU fan died. Runs at ~220F if the fan is off.)

Its intergrated, and I have not changed any of my hardware in my computer. And it never did it on windows xp. Probably because the chip only supports DirectX9 according to dxdiag directx11 is installed...
