So I figure that now that The Studio has a tutorial section, we might as well have a thread that links to tutorials off-site for people who want to mod.
Mod Teams- Gathering a team and keeping it together
Mods fail (http://www.moddb.com/tutorials/post-mortem)
" Most mods fail. The reason why & what lead up to this is ignored, instead we move on to a new mod only to have it make the same mistakes. " -
Great tutorial and review of What's going on within a mod team. Postmortem of the once-amazing mod that failed, "NightFall".
Successful_Mod_Team_Tips (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Successful_Mod_Team_Tips)
"This page talks about mod teams that are created - what they are, how they are formed, and how they can be run. Though there is no catchall formula on just how to make a mod team, this page should give you some ideas about what works and what doesn’t."
For Modding Games:
[Half-Life 2]
Install the Source SDK and read:
Mod_wizard_complete (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Mod_wizard_complete)
[Halo CE]
To be finished later.
Non-Game Specific [Off-site useful tutorials]
