First person to recognize the map gets some rep.
I've finally invented a way to import perfect visual and collision meshes into unreal AND have them optimized perfectly for any type of map. The only downside being the fact that 8000k maps break down into 46 parts. :gonk:

More to come when I get some sexy shaders on this beast.
The map is completely playable already it just needs some textures and spawn points.
UPDATE #1
DM-Cyclotron is nearly complete. I'm going to add sounds to the map and figure out how to make a emitter for the waterfall spray. Also the horrible smoothing.

But I may warn you. Cyclotron is not only meant to be released for UT3. It's going to be one of the maps in Insurrection. I bet your on the edge of your seat. Well I'm not going into detail on insurrection just yet but I'll give you a tiny taste.

Update:
I'm nearly done importing and placing the instance geometry for the map. After that's done I'm going to bot path it and release a public beta. For game play testing. Who's up for this?

After spending 3 hours last night trying to figure out animation for Unreal I spent another 2 hours today beating my head on the desk and screaming at my monitor. After smashing my keyboard on my face a few time I noticed out of the corner of my eye. In one of the many menus in the animsetviewer a little check box.
A gruesome little checkbox.
A awfull horrible little checkbox.
A make-me-want-to-shoot-the-programmer little checkbox.

bro you're gonna have to teach me how to do that shit. I've been wanting to learn weapon shit in UT for ages.
Fun fact, you'll be able to have a Scope In animation if you're working with this and you code it right, basically you're gun scope will come to your eye and you will scope in, making it that much more bad ass.
But yeah dude I'm totally willing to help you out with this shit as far as animating goes, and I'd love to have a learning experience myself, I'd at least love to learn how to make the animation packages

Inf, found some good tuts on weapons in case you wanted to check them out. http://www.filefront.com/user/geodav This guy's got multiple tuts, but you want the weapon ones, IE 01_weaponshit 02_weaponshit etc. Keep workin on the levels and I'm going to see if I can't work on getting some weapons like the MLG 3SK tool of destruction in-game.
But for now I need to get to sleep because my fucking shit is fucked up and I work tomorrow ;D I'll work on it but it may be a bit tough. This stuff's just a tad more complicated than Halo.
