Left4Dead 2 New SI - The Jockey

Finally we have a grasp on what the final SI is, called the Jockey:

Basically, this special infected jumps onto the back of a survivor, sitting on the shoulders while grabbing the head. The survivor then LOSES ALL CONTROL OF THEIR CHARACTER while the Jockey simultaneously DEALS DAMAGE and is able to MOVE THE SURVIVOR AS HE PLEASES.

In versus mode, the player controlling the Jockey could very well "mount" a survivor and walk them out of the group and into a waiting ambush of boomer/hunter. Or, as a Valve employee said, he could walk you off a cliff, or into a fire, or off a tall ledge.

I wish Valve wouldn't make it so hard to hate them for Left4Dead2 :(

Well, this pretty much makes it a sequel for me. The fact that this is all being done in one year, and by Valve, no less, is enough to get me to buy it.

Now all they have to do is get the same pattern with their Half-Life Episodes >:U

Any word on just how it 'mounts' the survivors? Like a pounce from behind or something? I know it says' "this special infected jumps onto the back of a survivor" but I'm wondering from what distance, if it's going to be a boomer type (close range ambush) or hunter (mid-long range pounce)

Played two parts of this today. Pretty sweet except some of the guns suck and the melee weapons are useless. Other than that the game is... :allears:

i was reading PC gamer and there is a concept for a SI called "haggard", seems he had all this debris stickin out of his back and would throw some of it at the survivors as his main attack (don't ask how this would be done, this is going oiff like a small paragraph regarding it)

This SI should have a wipe.

The jockey looks too bright and colorful, compared to the other SIs, to come off as creepy. He just looks cartoony to me.
