I love Chipotle. I really love the barbacoa and this is coming from a So-Cal guy who eats all sorts of Mexican food.

I'm a SoCal person as well. I've heard some bad things about the barbacoa, though.

Must vary between locations, because the experiences I've had it have been good. And I don't think I have poor taste... I'm usually a good judge for taste.

No worries, they're run by the Mc Donald's Corp, so new ones are going to pop up everywhere.

Those who say that McDonald's owns the place is incorrect. They used to own it but since 2006 they haven't owned it:
Wikipedia:
"In the past, McDonald's Corporation owned a majority interest in Chipotle. McDonald's has since sold their entire stake in Chipotle; full divestment was completed in October 2006."

The place is a money pit depending on what you get and how much you get. A regular chicken burrito is 5.30 but I always customize mine and the price comes up to 8-9 dollars every time. It's just too damn tempting to put every single ingredient in a burrito. :)

There's only one in Canada (http://www.chipotle.com/assets/solo/toronto.html), and it's on the other side of the country from me... I wonder if they'll deliver?

We've had one around here for years, though I've only eaten there once. It was great, but I don't spend money at restaurants often, fast-food or otherwise.

Why is it most of McDonalds chain restaurants are good? Except for McDonalds itself?

better take that back about maccas.
I'm pretty sure they have the highest standard of food and OHS in any of the fastfood companys around the world.
not only that but they are more anal about safety and hygene then just about anyone else.
my dad worked in a meat processing plant for the better part of 20 years, Mc Donalds where the toughest safety inspectors that ever passed through.
and they did it often, without warning and if you got caught they would cut all service with you.
and when your talking about the biggest turn over company you'll ever deal with... thats something you shut up and pay attention too.
but i gigress, i've never had them, but i make my own fuckign kickass borritoes, matter of fact i'm making some tonight

I've only had it once, and got damn it was amazing.
Maybe I'll eat it tomorrow, have some friends over, etc and go to Chipotle instead of the usual Potbellies.
