All right so in this thread we discuss things that make us very special. For example, I have a blood disorder called heriditary spherocytosis.

Anyways about me. I do have a blood disorder called heriditary spherocytosis. When I was 10 years old, I got really sick. I was sick for about a week and then my skin started to become more light, my lips were all white, and my eyes started turning yellow. I was rushed to the hospital and instantly put on a blood transfusion, which saved me life. The doctor said that my whole system was starting to shut down, my bone marrow system almost turned off, and that my spleen was 7 times bigger than normal. He diagnosed me with a blood disorder called heriditary spherocytosis. When I got back to school everyone thought that I died. All my friends started calling me spleen dude. Everything was back to normal.
3 years later, I had to get my spleen removed. After the surgery I felt so hungry. I couldn't eat for 3 days though. Not only was that bad but they forced me to get out of bed and walk around. So much pain was felt in my stomach because I had no muscle around that area after the surgery. Those three days felt like a whole month. The next 2 weeks I was resting in bed watching T.V. Then I went back to school, and all my friends started calling me "The Spleenless one." It was great because all of the hot girls during my years in middle school wanted to see my scar across my stomach. I weighed 70ibs after the surgury in 8th grade. I gained like 70 more pounds in 4 years which was a pain in the ass because of my super fast metabolism without a spleen. Since I have no spleen I have to be very cautious of getting sick. The doctor said that getting this so called certain blood infection that would kill me is the exact same odds of crashing in a plane. Ya! Since a lot of that isn't happening these days :ohdear:.
But my doctor called me 3 weeks ago telling me to be very cautious of getting swine flu, because my immune system is super weak without a spleen. Well so far so good.

Anyways, does anyone else care to share?

Anyways that's my story.

That sucks dude. Don't die.

Also, I'm not special. There is nothing remarkable about me in anyway.

I'm white. I've got an indented chest about 1.5 inches. I can fit my fist in it yet the doctor says it shouldn't have any effect on my breathing. :V

I'm also about to get my Pilot's license and fly around with a Modacity banner on the end of the plane.

Edit- A car ran over my right arm, can bend my arm all the way around, bring my fingers back to my wrist, and lick my elbow, no pain. Also I have burnt orange eyes in the sun.

This, but no car running me over; I'm double jointed. I can also do it with my feet. Also for some apparent reason my hands are reaaaallly fucking wrinkled, as in it looks like an 80 year old's hand. I am also flatfooted, dislocate my shoulders, have attached earlobes, dislocate my thumbs, and have the tendency to fool people from my actual age (I have had people thinking I was 30 when i'm actually 18 just because of the way I talk and look. It has also gotten me a couple of free drinks too :p).

I guess i'm just a nice guy regardless of how much I dislike a person (with just one small exception, don't ask). If all my mates hate one guy, if the guy comes me personally I can't help but be nice regardless of how much of a cunt he is (I burnt the guy a CD today even though my mates would hit me if they knew I did). Remaining neutral in situations is generally a good idea.

Oh, and I love photography. I guess something that's significant about me.

I've mainly earnt my own way inthe world - my parents realise that it's better for me to loan the money off the govt. instead off them - i'll appreciate money more if I actually have to pay it back. I've seen a lot of guys crumble at university around me because they've gotten free money from the government because their parents are in a certian payment bracket. But since my parents are above that, I have to loan less money from the govt. to make ends meet. I respect my camera gear because I spent too many hours at minimum wage earning it, etc. i'm rambling because it's 2am and it's a good mates birthday today, so i'll stop.

Also, a heart condition/disorder runs in the family that hasn't affected me yet, but I'll talk about it anyway.
So far, my mom's dad, my mom, and her late brother have all had a condition where a mitrovalve leading to a heart, after you dont take good care of yourself for a while, gets fucked, and needs to be replaced. Her dad got it replaced, her brother died from it, yet alot later than the doctors expected (he lived to about 30 and he was only expected to live until 2) and my mom got it repaired (titanium bands in heart yayayay).

So cheers to hope it doesnt affect me yet.

I fractured my spine several years ago while dodging a dog that jumped in front of my bike and now have a scar where my spine hit the curb.

If I like something, I'll go way overboard with it - like photography; I'm a total addict and don't shut up about it.

I have a knack for understanding the how things work and am extremely (if not excessively) rational. Because of this, lots of people come to me for advice - especially relationship advice - even though I've only had one relationship that's lasted me a month - and it only happened this year. People have been coming to me for help for years. It's very frustrating every time I hear "you give great relationship advice even though you don't have much/any experience." :/

I'm a spatially oriented person (don't know another way to describe it). My parents call me a human GPS. I don't memorize street signs, but I follow the silhouette and landmarks of the streets (I go through a route twice and I know it). I think it is why I like modeling so much.

Years back, I was snowboarding and I took a break. A skier went over my right hand and cut through the inch thick glove and my hand, he almost got to the bone. The scar from said accident goes from the back of my hand, to the main skin crease on my palm (so it almost looks like a birthmark).

When meeting people I don't know, people tend to think I'm nice, to the point of strange effects. Sometimes people are slightly startled when they hear me swear or if I do anything outside of the boring norm. This kid at my school keeps asking me to cuss because he thinks it sounds funny. :v: ... this of course only applies to the people that don't know me. ;)

I'm 5'9", average body type, Caucasian Male, with A knack for computers and technology and art. In other words, I'm just like everyone else here. I don't really have any medical conditions or anything like that. My whole family has asthma, but I haven't been to the doctor in ages so Idk if I do, I do know that I don't breathe well though.

But yeah, I'm a pretty nice guy. I don't talk much at school, but If I know you well I talk all the time (I'm getting better with this though, I'll actually talk to people I don't know now!) Pretty much everyone tends to like me a lot, even if I barely know them. Hell, there's some people that I'm completely cold to, but the like me a lot anyways.

I'm kind of a jack of all trades (photography, 3d art, a few instruments, etc.) but I don't consider myself to be very naturally talented at anything, I just sort of have a little bit of talent.

My biggest weakness is that I have a complete lack of motivation to do almost anything. Hell, sometimes I'll be hungry but won't even bother to drive 5 minutes to get lunch. I'm getting better at this though now.

er..I'm 190cm (~6 foot 3 for you imperial monkeys), only got his first gf ~4 months back and is madly in love with her (this can't end well :ohdear:), going (if all goes like I'm expecting) to James Cook University in Townsville next year to study Mechanical Engineering (though I may change into Electrical (maybe civil.. vOv)). Term 4 of year 12 starts in 15hrs and then 6 weeks of that left. Don't have my P's yet because I was a lazy shit and only got my L's 2 months ago (and i've only logged ~10 hours).

I'm interested in Videogames (especially clever and creative ones like World of Goo or sandboxes like Gmod), my favourite MP game is TF2 (closely followed by CE, it's only second becauce no local servers/shitty netcode), I love me some 40K (especiallly Orks and Tyranids, don't mind a little Chaos on the side though) and my prefered book setting is fantasy (high or low doesn't really bother me).

Asides from h2vista, my only other main board is /tg/ at 4chan (OMG4CHANBANBANBAN, check /tg/ out, it's nothing like /b/ tbh).

Physically, I'm a metabolic powerhours, I eat whatever I want, do no excersise and I'm still a fucking stick. Need a haircut too, it's getting pretty out of control. I'm pretty good at maths (nothing outstanding, but low A level) and have an interest in how the universe works. I love looking at awesome buildings and machines, trying to figure out how they worked and the evolution of design over the centuries that lead to them being how they are today. I'm not that creative though so vOv.

i honestly dont know what the most significant thing of me is.
Got a good sense of humor, morals, i'm a guitarist, music maker/ enthusiest, Cabinet maker, cricket player.
tall dark and handsome

and sometimes, very political. Not because of the great game or any interest in that but manly because it ties into my morals, i just want to help people and i believe the guys at the top are under qualified idiots with a conflict of interest and it worries me gravely the power they have.
it's not that i dont liek authority, my parents where fairly strict, but they where also very balanced and reasonable and i believe that is not the case with the current generation of politicians. same reason i dislike anyone in authority positions because i believe i could do it better.

Same here. I would much rather figure out how something works than do it by feel. I'd say the most important thing about me is that even though I may not always stick by it (not on purpose), I maintain that there's no reason to be racist, bigoted, or inflammatory. In short, I am the essence of political correctness. Drives my semi-racist roommate insane. See my entry (http://www.modacity.net/forums/showpost.php?p=467490&postcount=1042) in the quotes thread.

I also like correct grammar and spelling. Even when my suitemates got me high I took notes in perfect English. ^_^

Well, the most significant thing about me is that I fail at relationships, cause I've never had a girlfriend before, nor a first kiss, or anything, and yet, some of my friends are no longer virgins. It's not rare that I find myself to be the odd one out in a group in that way. However, everybody says that I'm "so sweet" and that "any girl would be lucky to have me" and those that say no to me "are making a bad choice"

I played football all through High School, and yet, I'm a total nerd. I love computers, I can do basic programming (Java), love star trek etc. All while being a gigantic 6'4" jock. I'm also insane, with a twisted sense of morality. I mess with people for months, and then turn around and tell them how much they mean to me, and shower them with elaborate gifts. I'm incapable of expressing how I feel to most people, and during Christmas/Birthdays, I make sure that the person knows that they're AWESOME.

I'm basically the opposite of what people see. That's just how I roll I guess...
