I've just spent the last 3 or so hours scouring new mombassas streets for the audio logs and i've found the last one i need before i go into the data hive but for some reason the door to it is locked.
There are signs saying "keep right" and "Detour" leading to said door but for some reason it will not open nor will it have the open to open it.
It is one of the security doors you find located randomly and there are two covenant shields near by blocking any other passage into the area of the last audio log.
It is up near NMPD headquaterr.
If anyone had any suggestions on unlocking the door that would be great.
The part im at: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/5258/synapse.jpgBut for some reason parts of the city are still locked down even though i only have the data hive left.

IIRC, that is Crater, and the audio log isn't inside anywhere. It's on the second level, in a phone thing. When coming from outside of the "Crater", just stick left and you should come upon stairs leading to it. If it's not there, then you might've already gotten it and your 29th log might be somewhere else. This happened to me, had to go through all of them to find the last one because I missed it, and it ended up being one of the last ones.

So is the Data Hive entrance locked, or is the 29th audio log door locked?

Also the 30th audio log is on Data Hive.
To unlock Data Hive on the "Mombassa Streets" mission, you have to find all the clues, again, and do every mission over.

He said he can't find the last log. The only mission available is Data Hive.

Wait, you can use your VISR to find audio logs??

e: the overhead map...not VISR vision mode...

No i downloaded a map of the city to look for the audio logs but it seems their all marked up wrong so please, ignore the marker.

They aren't marked in the wrong place. I used the same map and I found most of them easily within a 10-15 ft radius of the marker (others I found on my own). If it's not where I said it was, then just go through all of them again. Not that huge of a task.

Any logs found in co-op are not saved to your own comm data. Me and a friend did them all in co-op, and I came back to my own game and it said I only had like 12, which I found myself previously.

This one is better, and shows actual screenshots (click the icon of where it is) to where it is.

OK, go to Dare's actual crashed pod.
Now go AWAY from where you spawn in Firefight. The Super should light up some signs, follow them to that audio log. You should only climb up a single flight of stairs, IIRC. It's a ringing phone.
