Amazing case for water cooling, obviously designed specifically for enthusiast water cooling users and nothing else.

Wow, I really like it. I would buy one. Especially the black and white one. Great design.

They're not all necessary, depends on how you configure your radiators.

Hey, just a few quick questions, what are you modeling this in and what are you rendering it with? Renders look pro. Seriously though... I can't tell you how much I love that case. I've always been a fan (heh...) of simple designs, along side some awesome looks. I hate cases that are crazy shapes. It's such a perfect case for me. I don't know how many other people are like that, but I'm sure there's enough of us that would buy it if it ever got made. You need to sign a deal with someone get this sucker made, then split off, become your own company, and then start producing it in custom colors. Seriously is pro. Well done.

I have no idea about the questions, check the original thread that I linked at the very beginning of the post.
I read that he did some in Google SketchUp, but that's not what he used for the renders I posted I don't think.
Edit:
I use Google SketchUp and Kerkythea for my designs and rendering.
If I could use said programs well, I'd definitely be modeling some case designs I've got in my head. I'm rubbish with 3D stuff though.

Ugh, why in the world isn't he saving the renders as .png, or at least not saving them as .jpg in kerky and using something with a quality slider to convert them to .jpg? :saddowns:
This is probably the first case I've seen that I'd describe as "tacticool". Seriously, fans are like the computer equivalent of rails.

I disagree... for this reason:

If the above case actually worked than it would be cool.
3/4 of those fans are duds hth~

How would someone go about getting something like this made? I know you can do simple machining with Solidworks exports, but this is pretty intense and seems like it would require some specialized equipment.

The guy that's designing it is trying desperately to get a deal signed with a big case manufacturer, but he hasn't looked into any manufacturing costs yet.

Not to be a pessimist, but that's incredibly unlikely. They have trained professionals that they pay full time to do stuff like this.
Maybe a smaller company, but I still don't see it happening.

So because he's not a paid professional, his case that is a great deal better than most water cooling enthusiast cases out there has no chance of getting produced? I don't see how being a paid employee or not really matters, if I created a case that a lot of other people liked I'd be contacting manufacturers if only to see if they would consider it.
He has already been contacted by a couple of smaller companies, but they wanted permission to "copy" his design instead of sign a contract with him. He's considering this as well, since the "paid professionals" that copy it might have some insights on HOW the case would actually be manufactured.

Supporting this case. Will buy for my next build if it gets manufactured.

In terms of actually building this from blueprints or whatever, it looks like most of it could feasibly built if you have access to a machine shop. Depending on the format of the blueprints, if you bring them into a machine shop they might make it for you, although it might cost quite a bit...
With the exception of the drive bays most of it could be made with a vertical band saw if you're careful with it. The ventilation holes could be made on a drill press.
The drive bays might require some bending equipment - I'm blanking on the name right now. basically, big scary looking device that makes bending things very easy and accurate. Basically, cut out a flattened out version of the drive cages, drill all the holes you need using a drill press or something, bend everything, etc.
CNC would speed some of it up, but unless you have access to a fairly large CNC machine you'd probably have to manual machine a lot of it.

All the mid-tower case discussion is irrelevant, as I stated already the case I posted is for WATER COOLING enthusiasts using dual radiators. That's the reason for the massive size of the case, also it's ATX/Inverted ATX interchangeable.
