Liked Ganon's video best so far, but when it started to show people capturing the flag I got bored. Flag tosses or almost-dying or something actually interesting would have been a much better showcase of all the jumps, cubbyholes and safe rooms that yoyorast has.

I'd prefer that no videos under 4 minutes in length even be considered for the final voting process. Changing the time requirement (or any rules) less than a week before the contest is due to close is complete bullshit.

Honestly, any longer on Ganon's promo would've bored me and made me skip parts to get to the end. It was the right length; you're showing off the best of Yoyorast, not every little hole and path you can find. If you want to show off someone walking from flagstand to flagstand as one continuous shot then by all means, you can get at least 4 minutes out of that but it'll still be shit. Ganon was able to get the clips he wanted because people volunteered to help him out, however it would of been impractical of me to try and schedule 15 additional people and have them act shit for my video. That's not what I was going for.

His After Effects work is very basic, tutorial based work. I decided against including any because I didn't have the time to make an intro or outro in After Effects due to real life issues.

Coming from someone who isn't me, related to me, or acquainted to me in any way, that means absolutely nothing! Unfortunately I also have some things going on in real life (you should try it sometime) that prevented me from computing for long periods of time this month!

it's all about the fact that no one is fucking playing on Yoyorast Island V2 when I'm able to film.
Get 2-3 people to help you film, takes 1-2 hours. You can get a solid half hour of good footage since you're staging the clips the way you want, not just randoms hurfindurfin around Yoyorast.

If you got 72 hours of footage you obviously have some time to get on the computer. Have fun digging through 3 days of clips though~

Sure, it looks nice, but it takes forever to buffer and also to upload.

Great vid Lateski! The intro was really cool, but the opacity on the underlying footage looked a bit weird. Would of been sweet if you included 3rd person camera shots,most of the fp ones were pretty sweet, but got repetitive and I think they are a bit easy to get :p ... Song was awesome too! What effects do you add to your footage?

For color correction I used plugins for Vegas, they're called Magic Bullet and Newblue. If you don't have 'em I can sendz you!
I kinda only put effort in the intro and mixing the song, then I was in hurry lol... But I'm happy how the video turned out. :downs:

It showed up in "My Videos" like usually, but it just said "Upload Failed" in the status section.

It also seems to upload in like 45-50 seconds after I hit "upload", obviously this isn't the case since my connection couldn't ever hope of reaching those speeds (try more like an hour or two)... It then just sits there, and if I check the "My Videos" section in another tab or on another PC the video status is "Uploaded (Video Is Processing)"... Again, clearly not possible. This happened before for a few videos and I just had to keep reuploading it until it finally worked like 50 attempts later.

Unfortunately there seems to be something wrong with YouTube or the way I'm rendering my video. I've tried three different formats for rendering, and two different browsers on two different PC's... No matter what I do this video won't seem to upload to YouTube, I'll continue trying different things but if I'm the only person without an entry avilable for the contest, don't wait for me. I'm literally stumped since I've exported videos in exactly the same manner from Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder before and they're uploaded perfectly fine to YouTube.

From what I've seen, I wouldn't vote for my video if it was going up against m00kz or Lateksi anyways. To much of my video shows that I was rushed in getting it finished, good luck to all the contestants!

but when I upgraded to Windows 7, I was not able to use dev mode (until I later figured it out) and I still can't get rid of chat.

Anyways, I seriously have no idea why YouTube is being such a dick and refusing to accept my video. Yoyorast, do you remember that "intro" I showed you awhile ago on YouTube? That was rendered in exactly the same way so I'm completely stumped.

Edit: I finally got my video uploaded via FTP by the way, anyone interested can download it and view it, but I don't expect to be a contest entrant at this point (would be nice though).
