I know there had to be a thread but I cant find it and its probably hella inactive.

So who watches it? I just got caught up about a month ago and have been following it since, am reading through the graphic novels (which clear up a lot of old history, like links with Linderman and a lot of great details), and am gonna hack my way through the terribly made webisodes.

Anyone?

Season 1 was fucking awesome, Season 2 was meh, Season 3 was shit (I stopped watching about halfway through this,) Season 4 is apparently meh also.

That's about all I know.

As I've stated previously, I stopped watching after people lost their powers, got them back, lost them again, and then got them back.

I still am enjoying the shit out of it, and I am getting way into all the extra bullshit like the comics.

This is great shit to me.

Heh, I've been watching Seasons 1, 2 and 3 in the past month or so. I think the show is great, but it does get a bit repetitive at times. I'm still trying to catch up to season 4. I only jsut started watching it a month ago. I'm a sucker for tv/movies where people have secrets (powers) and gradually find out about each other.

I watched it all in about 2-3 weeks and am brained out with it but I keep watching and reading :gonk:

I watch it, but it's just really getting old and dragging on and on.

I watch it, but Its really really lost its touch. S01 was great, 2 a little less but still good. It started to drop off quality wise in 3, and now its just an average show. If this were its first season it would probably get canceled (again talking about quality).

Im still gonna watch it all the way through because Im not one to abandon a story in the middle, once Im into it I have to see how it ends. The problem with it imo is that the writers had an idea of how they wanted to resolve it and some direction with the storyline, then they were like "hey we need to keep making episodes, but what are we gonna make them about! oh no!" So they just made up some shit about Claire going to college and some random people with powers pop up out of nowhere. The only thing with any continuity from the previous seasons is the whole sylar/parkman/nathan p. thing, which is mainly what is keeping my interest. It would have been better if it had more to do with the orignal storyline, now it just seems like they are making it up as they go.

Season two seemed a bit rushed for me, but that's just because of the writers strike. Season three was a bit rushed too. I just finished "Villians" and it was only halfway through the season. "What? It's already over?" That's where I left off. Not enough to get me going again, or not enough time (college). Didn't feel like much a cliffhanger too. "Oh, we're going to contain these people so they don't hurt the public." Yeah...that's exciting...not to mention that's what they sort of been doing so far (with the really bad "heroes"). Hence repetitiveness.

What the fuck do you expect, superman? The bad heroes all have their weaknesses and such; most of the crappy, non-useful ones die anyway. And when they are useless they find a use, like
deaf chick

Here's an interesting question...
Of all the people who have been on Heroes so far, if you could, who's power would you choose to have and why?

(No, don't choose Peter or Sylar. Of course a person would want everything. lol)

I'd have to chose Hiro's power. I'm a person who has always lived in the past and would love to go back to the good old days whenever I wanted. Also I feel like I wish there was more time in the day to get things done. As for teleportation....no driving, no gas, no being late. Awesomeness.

^You would change your mind if you saw the most recent episodes, Gamerkid. I won't spoil anything though.

The gathering them up thing is like...the holocaust for specials. Its to show that the rules of engagement have changed from taking out the bad ones, to bagging and tagging neutrals and taking out bad ones, to taking them all in and killing the bad ones.

E: and earlier someone said they hated it when the characters lost their powers, got them back, lost them again, and got them back again.

Only one character lost his powers, and he didn't get them back fully, he got powers similar to his because of the formula.
Hiro's powers shut down for a while because Arthur Petrelli made him mentally 10 and his powers needed to remanifest.
And they all lost their powers when the eclipse happened, but they got them back because eclipses end eventually.

Actually I just started watching "Fugitivies" today and it is pretty good. I was wrong. Hooked again...back to the 6 hour marathons. lol

I liked when they lost their powers from the eclipse. It was interesting seeing their reactions to being powerless, especially Sylar. He seemed so lost. Also it made them all human for once so they had to solve problems the normal way. I'm glad it was only a few episodes though.

My point exactly, it hasn't gotten tired to me yet and I watched all the episodes in 3-4 days. Yes, I just realized that I watched them all that quick.

A little off-topic, but has anyone realized how similar the Heroes and the RVB:Reconstruction plots are?

META (Sylar) comes around and kills people for their AI (abilities) and then is able to use them, becoming all powerful. In both series, telekinesis, bending of time, invisibility, and ability to "morph" into others are used.
Found that interesting.

The whole Nathan is Sylar and Sylar is Nathan thing did it for me. I watched the last few episode of last years season and watch 1/2 of this seasons premier and decided that hardcore amateur porn was more entertaining.

Damn, you're right. I just finished season three.
It seems like this show can do anything. Nothing is impossible. You never really know if someone is dead either. Jeeze, I thought Matt died first season, then Sylar and Peter multiple times, and now this Sylar/Nathan thing? They find a way around everything. I would have thought they'd use time travel as a plot device for eliminating death more. Also Tracy is back? How could she have survived being shattered. (rhetorical) lol
Anyway...finally caught up with Season four. :D

The RVB thing was kind of intentional, I remember reading that they got their influence from heroes.

And with your spoiler:
Actually, many characters have died, and yeah, I do agree its silly that the main ones come back so much. But Nathan is gone I think, and the Sylar/Nathan thing isn't permanent. And Tracy just learned to use the ability to melt and use water as her ability. It was just lucky timing.
