Dream weaver will not install on my system for some reason.

Does anyone know of another good coding application? I could use notepad or word pad or what ever but I find code much easier to read when it has its defined colours like it does in Dream weaver, and how it is indented in dream weaver.

Just something that will do what dream weaver does, including FTP support hopefully.

I use EditPlus for my quick code browsing (not as resource intense as VS)

Notepad++
This. Deliciously delicious small footprint and lots of nice features.

Exactly.

If you're doing web stuff, more likely than not all you will need is Notepad or Notepad++ and a copy of photoshop. If you want something fancier, Dreamweaver is one of the best on the PC. Fix your PC or buy a legitimate copy of the program if you're using a pirated copy.

VS can be used for web dev but its not the best tool for it. Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm) or context (http://www.contexteditor.org/) will probably be more than adequate.

XHTML, ASP, Javascript and PHP. I think I will try and fix dream weaver though. Cheers :)

I use and prefer PSPad (http://www.pspad.com/).
