I found some random folders today on my secondary HD, dunno where they came from or what they do: https://zxncww.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pLfQ1L38hJD-ypM8gRwSKxcaS4BRsbrElT6sC7mjuclf1dgnO333l7wpq3zp3P qEI76f8g7QJ40Rsqag1RkioL0YPJRdhA3-Z/Untitled.jpg

Anyone know what they are or if should get rid of them?

Yeah I have folders like them too. Windows updates can sometimes leave behind folders with weird names, though, so it's probably nothing to worry about.

But why would win update leave behind those folders on his secondary drive? I know the folders you are talking about. I get them too, but they are always on my C: drive.

The only thing I've ever put on that drive is ubuntu and some music to send to a friend so I'm pretty sure thats not whats making them.

Temp folders like that are put on the drive with the most free space.

E: Ok further research has told me that they're definition files for microsoft security essentials. You're able to delete them since they're not used any more (mine were last modified 2nd november)

I have these two. I thought it was a virus at first but not anymore. They appear on my external WD drive. Are you running 64-bit W7?
