So I had to do an essay for Comp 105 and we had to pick any topic about literacy (ie: fanatsy, poetic etc...) and then right a "how to" guide about how to successfully create your thing you picked. so I picked lyrics/song writing cuz yeah i'm lazy and it would be easy well it turns out that our next assignment was to follow that "how to" essay and do it... so yeah here's what I got so far. It's due after thanksgiving. lolz

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]

[Chorus]
locked inside, kept a secret
never opened, fall to pieces
what was then, is gone today
time of the essence, lives waste away
what you say is what you mean
words are now, love is free
precious times, fade to dreams
maybe... just maybe...
what you say is what you mean
words are now, love is free
precious times, fade to dreams
lost and found, never to be seen

[Verse 2]

[Chorus]
locked inside, kept a secret
never opened, fall to pieces
what was then is gone today
time of the essence, lives waste away
what you say is what you mean
words are now, love is free
precious times, fade to dreams
maybe... just maybe...
what you say is what you mean
words are now, love is free
precious times, fade to dreams
lost and found, never to be seen

[Solo Outro]
hold me
throw me
keep me
lose me

[Ending]
what was then is gone today
words are now, love is free
what you say is what you mean
precious times, fade to dreams
lost and found, never to be seen
never opened, fall to pieces
locked inside, kept a secret
words are now, love is free
maybe... just maybe...
time of the essence, lives waste away

Err... might want to look for a new method of recording, it's extremely hard to hear a lot of what's actually being played. It sounds like you put a PC mic right up to your pick, which would only kindasorta make sense if you were on an acoustic guitar (it sounded like a clean electric, tell me if I'm wrong... It was REALLY hard to tell). What I would suggest, seeing that you're on a lappy: Headphone jack from amp (I actually think a lot of acoustic guitars have outputs now, too) -> input on your computer. Remember to turn it down quite a bit though, for some reason headphone outputs on amps are always deafening and will definitely lead to clipping. This will not only remove whatever background noise you had, but it will make the sound of the guitar a whole hell of a lot better.

Edit: Took a few listens, finally picked up that it was acoustic. Go me ._.

The method I posted above still works if your guitar has that kind-a thing, but otherwise, it's all the mic. Because it's a PC mic, it's pretty much screwed to hear more of the ambience/string plucking than the pitches that are being produced, so if you can't find a better mic/do the above, sorry I couldn't help. :(

meh actually you were right before... it was an electric guitar but i have an amp that makes it acoustic (cuz i didn't want to spend money on an acoustic guitar)
but i didn't have my recording equipment at the time so i used my phone lolz, then uploaded it to the computer and then converted it... etc you get teh gist
so yeah audio is bad but i'm working out the details.

but yeah i'll put it up to the amp next time not the guitar ;)
my mistake on that.

Get a Pod Studio GX or, preferably, the TonePort GX (which is no longer made, is less than half of the other guy, but is no longer even on ebay); I have one, and I just hook it up, set Audacity to pick it up, and then record stuff.

Also, this song reminds me of Arthur.
