Hey internet buddies

Recently came into a situation where I need to connect my 360 to Live wirelessly, and I was wondering if you guys had any experience with the 360 wireless adapter.

Shown there ^

Also, I was wondering how you are able to tell what network your wireless is, or something. For instance, the above adapter is for A/B/G networks only, while the other one is for A/B/G & N networks. Not very tech savvy, unsure of how to go about that.

Thanks for any input you guys can give me.

Look at your wireless router and see if it says B/G/N. I do know that the white ones will work on N, just like shit. If you can't figure out what yours is, I would just get the N. A better future investment.

If you have a laptop running something like Windows XP, you don't even need to bother buying one of those. All you need to do is plug the ethernet cable into your laptop and set it to bridge wireless connections, so you can share the connection with your xbox. I do it because the router is on the other side of my house, and it works just as well as that thing.

B/G/N networks are normally backwards-compatible, so I'd go with the A/B/G one. You're unlikely to have an N router unless you spent like £60 on one recently.

You can tell what your network type is in the network scanner in windows I thought? If not, you can get a program like inSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider) to find out the network speed; 11mbps is B-type, 54mbps is G-type, and I think N-type is 104mbps?
