it seems i can't isntall firefox.

it starts to ask about admin permission during install, yet my user account IS the admin.

when i select run with current account, it just cuts out.
i can't select the admin password and stuff, because there is no such admin password (can't leave it blanc either)

Try right clicking the installation file and click "run as administrator".
That might help, usualy doe's for me.

nv, i just needed to reboot to make the uac settings take effect or something.

problem solved.
