View Full Version : ATTN: need proxy

Will post for proxy
Yeah, need a proxy so I can still check b.net every now and then. The place I use to check the internets now blocks some sites (like b.net...or h2vista! but not modacities). If you want to keep the proxy low key, please PM it to me. Keep in mind, if it is a popular prox, then chances are it is blocked too and of no use to me.
+rep and whatnot for the winnar :neckbeard:

Maybe try a combination of yourfreedom/sockscap, it will be super slow, but it schould work.
You could also try pingfu, It isn't free but it works, friends of me use this to play guild wars at school. (although it does give some problems on 64-bit)

If you're using Firefox, install an extension called "FoxyProxy". There's a whole list of proxies for it, it's free, and it's compatible with a very popular proxy called "The Onion Router" (Tor).
Tor is the best proxy you'll ever have (it runs off of "The Tor Network", a chain of computers all attached to each other so you never have the same IP address), but it's slow as fuck.

at my school anything with the word "proxy" in the name is autoblocked.
Lightspeed Blocker is a bitch.
And almost every proxy is blocked on 4chan because proxy users post CP and get the IP blocked.

False, almost every proxy website is banned.
The real pros know the best proxy IPs :cirnosmug:
But sdavis has a good idea I think

Portable Firefox won't bypass anything, it's still using the filtered internet connection of the computer it's connected to. You'd have to combine that with an actual proxy server and configure Portable Firefox to connect through it.

But seriously use UltraSurf if you can, good proggy to get past firewalls and what not.
The problem is at my school the server (and computers) detect when Ultrasurf is on the computer, and as soon as it finds it, it deletes it off the computer without leaving a trace :saddowns:

The military doesn't want silly Kornmen to leach state secrets to evil terrorists like Kim Jong Il by accidentally setting their entire computers as a shared thingy for P2P.

i guess one of the companies that do all this blocking of random websites decided to step it up over the summer last school year because EVERYTHING is blocked now. even if you google the word proxy the filter engine flips shit, and any proxy anybody knew of last year does not work this year. they block the stupidest sites too. im in a computer class for java and one of the main java reference sites is blocked because it contains "games", which of course is bullshit. i dont know what the filter is called, but its really overdoing it now.
i would also like to know a way to get onto the netz. i considered firefox with tor, but i dont even know how to make that work, and im sure it too is blocked.
