I originally posted this on HPT forums:

I try installing halo on my laptop and it doesn't read that I put the disk in at all.
So I click on the drive, it ejects the cd and says please put cd into drive. What the fuck?

I had halo installed before on here but I uninstalled it.

I was told to create an ISO from my PC. So I tried that and whenever I try to create an ISO it doesn't work...

I was also told to download an ISO; that didn't work either. I mounted the ISO using Daemon Tools Lite, installed, and launched Halo. It said corrupted Halo.exe. So I copied my exe from my PC, put into the folder, and the same message popped up.

I'm really bewildered byt this problem SOOO could someone help me?
Could someone create me an ISO or get me a legit link?

I'm confused... Are you pirating this? You shouldn't have to mount anything if you have a copy of Halo.

He said he has the CD right? Is it a burned CD? Did you pay for the game, buddy?

Yes I actually have 2 (storebought) copies of this shitty game. xd

Neither CD's will allow me to create an ISO with my PC, nor will my Laptop register them as being in the Drive.

EDIT: Jally is uploading an ISO for me. But if anyone knows why these problems are occurring that would be a great help.

You might be getting a corrupt exe error if you are using Halo files that are different versions. What I mean, for instance, is if you have a 1.08 exe with a 1.09 strings.dll.

As for your disc problem, are you sure that your drive can actually read CDs? Can you play a regular CD (like a music CD) fine? Make sure you don't try DVDs, because I've experienced cases where CDs didn't play but DVDs did.

Oh that was the the problem when I copied my Halo.exe from my PC.

And yes it ran Halo before I uninstalled, plays DVD's, and Medieval II: Total War. Although it doesn't register Call of Duty 2 is in the drive..
