Card Reader Issues

I just purchased this Card Reader: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820300608

I'm getting multiple empty drives that represent different card slots on the reader.
Now, I thought Windows would hide these empty drives if I check that box in the folder options. Any help would be appreciated if you could let me know how to hide these drives until I activate it when I put a card in the specified slot.

I would be interested in hearing about a solution to this as well; my case has a built-in card reader and I always have five or six empty drives in My Computer.

Open up disk management (Computer Management > Disk Management), right click each drive you want to remove from my computer, click change drive letter/path or something along those lines and remove the drive letter.
