Hilariously that was the book I read. Tone is way different in the video imo. Really changes my perspective actually. Honestly its like puting a voice behind the words. No the campaign took a turn in the wrong direction. The H3 campaign should have been another gallivanting around the galaxy adventure and not the focus on earth. Halo 2 should have had the Earth Focus.

It was funny that it was called Halo 3 when you were on Earth for 6 missions, The Ark for 2, a Covenant super city for one and Halo for one. No one cares about Earth. Let's see all of earths colonies and planetary Forerunner installations. Halo Wars entertained me in the fact that we at least went to Arcadia...even though that game broke canon in so many stupid ways it was still kinda fun.

Seriously though, no armor abilities and no equipment. All that crap just clutters up the core gameplay and contributes to over engineering (Halo 3 shotgun with a 2 foot range). Halo never needed all this extra stuff to be fun.

It's the crosshair being in the middle of the lower half of the screen that fucks the aiming. It's what has been fucking the aiming since Halo 2. Why they couldn't just realign their origins to the centre of the screen like any other shooter still baffles me.
