Welp, it took me a couple months of sporadic work but its near completion.
I figured I'd have this done in a couple weeks but I didn't near that at all. That's probably because I'm a perfectionist. It was made completely in Blender, with just one reference photo (google sucks at finding anything other than side pictures).
There are some smoothing issues, but I'm happy with what I've got so far and I may fix those some time in the future. As this is still a WIP its missing some parts, which will be added soon.

Cut back on the smoothing. Make some hard edges on the parts that are flat. It's looking good though, Keep it up!

he doesn't need to cut back on the smoothing, he just needs to have appropriate edgeflow to get smoothing on things like the trigger guard to work better.
i'll give more crit when i can

I agree, but he can get away with less smoothing.

Unsmoothed and wireframe and such.
PS: I REALLY, REALLY hate modeling.
I'd love to learn how to do stuff in a 3d modeling program that would allow me to create what I imagine, but I don't, and in the hopes of getting better I continue trying. I am truly inspired by what you guys create and that also drives me to get better. I would also love to learn how to texture and stuff, but the entire subject is nebulous to me. I want to create something I saw, not some random shit created by a few brush strokes and a bunch of random shit added by a filter. How you accomplish that is beyond me. I also can't bring my imaginations to life in drawing, it just never looks like what I saw and once I've drawn my poor recreation of it I lose it entirely. I still haven't looked at those modeling tuts you guys posted, I think I'll do that now.

This is a bump, just so it gets read because I have a question: why does everything on my model get messed up? No matter what program I use, gmax, Blender, I line up parts of the model that should be lined up (like straight parts), and after a while they still end up unaligned. I look at them from one camera view and the lines are thickened because of this, the Vertices are all out of alignment!

Accidental rotation and/or accidental movement of vertex's. Trust me, I understand your pain. It's very annoying. Usually it annoys me to the point of having to start the model over again. But good luck.

what happened man? did you give up? aside from the magazine, it looks awesome until you get to the slide on top, then its a block. if you smoothed that out like the rest of the gun it would look great

Nah I didn't give up, I just haven't worked on it. Like I said I really hate this.
I'm really, really, angry right now at WoW. I was running from some faggot and then a FUCKING INVISIBLE RAPTOR fucking starts attacking me and the two Hyenas I ran into kill me as I try to escape the raptor, so mind fucked that I just don't care if I live or not. Deaths 7, for trying to complete one quest. Some faggot level below me guy comes up and nearly completes that same quest after I so painstakingly killed off a bunch of Venture Co. employees, died 6 times, and finally got the damn control button pressed, then some faggots come from somewhere who belong to the venture company, further complicating things, when I'm trying to mess with the fucking control console. I get mad at games after I play them for a while, I gotta take a break but I don't want to!!! I just wanna keep leveling.
Donut could you be more specific about the model? I don't understand what you're talking about (possibly the clip/magazine?).

So I finished it. Google search SUCKS!! I could only find side refs and no frontal or rear refs. So I don't know how thick it is, or the depth or heights of any of the surfaces. I don't even know if the curve on the handle edges is correct. I don't know if the angle on the barrrel is right either. Judging by the few photos I could find of the front and back, the angle is wrong. But its too much of a pain in the ass to go back, delete one half, fix everything, realign all the angled surfaces and the vertices that make it up, and then copy and mirror that side, then sew it up to start over.
I added the sights, the barrel/laser sight, cocking mechanism, and did nothing about the hard edges and smoothing problems. I tried, but I just can't fix those problems, I tried beveling them but that didn't help!
Oh and I had REAL fun with this forums search function, looking for this thread.
And without further ado: pics:

Also, I lost my parts. I can't find them anywhere.
The parts that weren't attached to my gun, that were movable (in case I ever wanted to animate this). I checked the different layers, showed the hidden objects and still they are missing. I fear they are deleted somehow. May they (and my manhood) rest in peace!

about 10 seconds on google does a whole lot of good. You can see from these photos that your shape is way off.

Snaf, that first one is not even a p-22, that's another gun. I think it looks pretty close, I can't really see many differences in my model and the last link you provided.

scroll down. there are photos of a glock alongside a p22.
and take it from me, yes, your model is different. it's also a bit messy. i can spot several smoothing errors and inaccuracies, and if i had the time or patience currently i would do so in great detail. as it is, snaf will probably do that himself shortly.
