Hey I've been offered to trade my Xbox 360 for a Dell Latitude E6500 Laptop.
I never ever fucking use the xbox and I don't plan on using it for a long time so I think it's a good trade. The only problem is I don't know the exact specs on that laptop and I can't get the wireless to work.

Worth it or not?

you really cant use Google and look for the specs yourself?

fucking hell.

e: its obviously worth it considering you don't use the 360.

That took me all of ten goddamn seconds. :maddowns:

I installed Fable: TLC and it runs smooth at maximum settings.

I'm going to benchmark it on oblivion if I get the chance.

Actually, looking at the price of that damn thing (and with mediocre reviews to boot), I suggest finding something that's actually worth your money.

HP, Toshiba, Acer are good.

E: Here's a Toshiba for $1000. I've used it before and it's powerful enough to run Modern Warfare maxxed out with 4xAA, Gears of War, etc.

A laptop that's actually worth buying (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114785)

The Dell Latitude E6500 is a powerful beast without any doubt. However, if I had another chance (and more time) to buy a notebook, would I buy it again? Although I love the cooling improvements and the build quality, no, I wouldn't. I would try to buy a Thinkpad W500 instead, my choice from the beginning. The W500 does not solve all the issues I mentioned but the keyboard—absolutely the most important input device for me—is better (layout + number of keys). So I cannot honestly recommend the E6500. Still, it might suit you better than me.

Just sell the xbox and use the money to get a laptop that's new. That way you know you're getting a good deal.

Keep the xbox. Sell yourself. Buy a laptop.

I doubt that an Xbox could get him enough money to get a half-decent laptop. He'd be lucky to get $200 for his Xbox 360, even with the games. This is a deal for a bigger return then an average 360 trade, so you should take it.

If you want to know the specs, why not just run a dxdiag?

Add new parts, have him pay for it, then trade. :realsmug:

Do the trade, if yo installed the game and it ran fine then whatever... I'd probably do a fresh install of windows myself.

I love that laptop. Get it.

(It's not for gaming though. It's for serious business.)

Edit: Uh....regarding that engadget article...did Dell recently redesign the laptop or something, because it looks completely different now. I loved it a year ago.
