Check this out, I will be occasionally streaming my 3d modelling for a few of my 2f2f friends, and the videos will be saved to my channel and available on demand, so whether you're a beginner looking to see how someone with a bit of experience makes their stuff, or an expert who'd like to critique how I model, this is where you can find my stuff, advice and comments are always appreciated!

ALSO IT WOULD BE NICE IF I COULD SET A TREND HERE AND WE COULD HAVE MORE PEOPLE AND MAYBE EVEN MODELLING CONTESTS, but what are the chances with the activity in this community huh!!

Already did that trend ever since me and Malloy started broadcasting some of our work. I never posed here since I expect a comment saying "If I ever wanted to know how to do something crappy then I would watch you model." Or some other hate comment. Good broadcast though.

I haven't really paid attention to your newer modeling work, but I wouldn't mind seeing you lot start streaming it again.

Also about the model, I personally don't like how it turned out, too many circles, just about everywhere, so the stream is more of a tutorial of how to do these shapes, and whatnot, rather than a look how much better I am than all of you stream.

Expect more!

I will probably stream tomorrow about patch modeling. Something that a LOT of people are unaware of. And a few tuts on how to do some details and such. Hopefully won't get the comments that I would expect people to say.

i just streamed some shit to selentic.

he was like OWAH HWO YOU DO DAAT MANG

edit: watch me at
http://livestream.com/neurologicaldisorder (be sure to mute the thing, ive got music playing)
EDIT2:

WHY does thing even record the music youve got playing, it kept overlappiong like a billion times.
to anyone watching the video (http://livestream.com/neurologicaldisorder/video?clipId=pla_406bc04f-2a73-484c-a467-8bfda16ac2d2), mute the damn thing, the first 5 minutes is me trying to figure out where the hell the sound is coming from.

the rest of the video is me building a lowpoly mesh around a highpoly, and unwrapping it at the end. (final uv map not included)
(i should point out that i'm working kinda slow in this video, because i'm getting used to this damn new small resolution. got a new pc, but no new monitor to go along with it, and i used to work on a 1920x1200 laptop screen, and this is 1420xsomething, so it sucks.)

total running time of it is about 3 hours iirc.

I was thinking of streaming some stuff, yet most of you wouldnt understand it, and its ultra boring to watch. There as watching some one model stuff is pretty fun.

I was trying my hand at recreating Neuro's monstrosity of a gun, seen here, well, atleast the scope of it, didn't come out too well.

30 minutes of struggling to get the right shapes, and not having them come out!

See my failure here!

Fyi, you can hold alt+middle mouse to move around the viewport, you dont have to use the stupid yellow circle thing. Not sure if you knew that, but you weren't using it in the video so...

i know, but i hit ctrl-R instead, because sometimes i want to snap the rotation, by clicking in the yellow boxes or rotate tie viewport around the camera's axis by clicking outside of the yellow circle.

each to his own.

edit:
just thought i'd show the final result of that video.

lowpoly with normalmap applied on the right.
