EA restructures Battlefied: Heroes pricing; fans enraged

EA and DICE have dropped a bomb on fans of Battlefield: Heroes: the price for items using in-game currency has been jacked up, while the price for funds purchased using real cash has been lowered. The net change? Gamers now must pay to play with the same weapons they've been long enjoying for free, or they have to grind for hours to earn them. Heroes has become something it used to mock.
Read the much longer and indepth article here~ (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/12/ea-restructures-battlefied-heroes-pricing-fans-enraged.ars)

TLDR: EA turns "free to play/pay to play, casual game lol @ grind heavy games" game into "pay to play/grind 5 hours per day to play" game at the drop of a hat.

ps: cool hypocritical trailer bro~

The game was hacker infested when I left just after the game went gold... Is it any better now?

Not really. I find the following comment on the article provided hilarious:

Uh...you're pissed because you got to play a commercial grade game FOR FREE but the developer just couldn't handle the financial burden of keeping it running FOR FREE any longer. So now you have to PAY for WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD TO BUY TO BEGIN WITH and you are MAD???!?!

Give a me a break! Fools.

I'll put $10 on the table right now that a majority of the stupid whiners all voted for Obama and think you earned the right to be entertained for free by right of birth.

Oh...btw...Ars, quit commenting on Global Warming unless you are actually gonig to man up and do some research. Look at the CODE for the "climate models" and see the coders notes, how badly the code runs, etc to realize IT'S A HOAX before you put out your next apology piece for the global warming scammers. (Whew! Had to get that off my chest!)

First of all, this guy is just insane and secondly, his arguments have no value. The trailer posted above is the perfect piece of evidence that you can't trust any developer out there to hold to their word...except Bungie, they are ridiculous with keeping promises.
