Those weren't pre-rendered graphics, Bungie stated those were in-engine.

Reach looked pretty horrible. The graphics were good yeah, but for a trailer, it was pretty dull and boring to be honest. The only moment I really liked in it was the beginning and the end. I really think Bungie should of waited a bit longer before showing this off, or at least, composed a better trailer/teaser.

The only other reason I can think for it is that at the end of the game we find out we were playing as the Chief, which is dumb and predictable.

Now it just seems like there pumping as much $ and fame out of what use to be a really good game series, without having to add onto the main story and sticking to what they said. Halo ODST, Reach, what next? It just gets kind of repetitive after a while with the Halo story. We know the story already, why have to retell parts of it in a billion ways.

I wish Bungie would make something new, and epic. They obviously have the potential to start another great game series, something that could be even cooler then Halo for all we know.

Actually, the original mission of all spartans was to capture a covenant ship and find the Covenant homeworld, but once reach got attacked, John-117 sent most of the spartans down to Reach and a select few spartans went to Reach station Gamma to destroy vital information about Earth that did not terminate itself liek it was supposed to. Sargeant Johnson is seen on the station. Also, Linda gets fucked up here.

Bungie probably will be able to create a game up to the caliber of the Halo series, but will never be able to deliver the same hype as before (maybe their first game after the Halo series will). Halo was too big for it's own good at the launch of Halo 3. It was an excellent game, but it wasn't the game of 2007. Bioshock took that space, which I agree with wholly. The way I see it, Bungie wants to complete the story according to the original trilogy of Halo novels. Reach would complete that section, but I doubt they would be able to capture it all into one game. I wonder if they would pull us back to the end of Halo 1 in a flashforward to meet up with John, Haverson, Locklear, and Polaski. I seriously doubt it, though.

We only have basic cable, and we don't get Spike in said package... Why do you think I download all of the TV shows I watch?

I'm assuming we play as the new "6th" guy that's joining the squad we saw in the trailer. If that was all in game rendering I'll be buying this for SURE just to ogle the graphics. It also looks like it's going to be more of a class based shooter, or at least extremely customizable setups (who else loved that Spartan with the skull painted EVA helmet) and weapons.

However, I'm kind of disappointed that they're ruining canon by not keeping all Spartans in very similar armor suits... If I recall correctly the events on Reach take place just prior too and during the events of Halo 1, therefore they wouldn't yet have armor permutations unless they're using prototypes developed ON Reach itself. I guess it's possible that they're using prototypes since ONI had their "Castle" facility located under a mountain on Reach...

Yes I did have problems with Halo 2... mostly the atmosphere of New Mombasa, Gas Giant to some point, and High Charity. It didn't feel like a Halo game, by atmosphere, until Delta Halo.

Yeah the dark grittness is nice, the facepaint on the spartan visor rubbed me the wrong way, i guess im just used to how the spartans were portrayed in the books, im guessing when the beta is out i can make a better judgement but am i the onlyone who noticed the district 9 style explosion effects?
