I present to you my first map I ever got ingame: Airlock. Basically it's a small indoor level about the size of battlecreek, and has nice looking POA textures and architecture inspiration from chiron and wizard. I got help with the HEK for the most part. Shaders were a pain in the ass to learn about, but it looks like it paid off. I'm still on the step of populating the map and polishing it up a bit.

Also: Does anyone know why it lights up in some areas but not in other places?

You need to run radiosity when you place the lights..? Any lights that aren't dynamic won't show up ingame without having run radiosity after placing them.

If that STILL won't work, it's a shader problem.

Good looking map for your first time around.

I like the look of this map even if it is a little empty. I'm wondering how gameplay friendly it is...

Pretty cool like others said. However, that main room with the ladder looks really empty. Put in some crates, from the POA (to keep the style), and that will make it a bit better. Don't make it to crowded though.

I got some portals installed into the map. I also got a nice background sound for my maps environment.

Like I said before, I still have some populating and shader work that I need to do. I'm downloading the A10 CE version so I can get those tags I need for this map. Hek doesn't really provide any human scenery, just those damn baracades.

Your can open up halo pc maps with HEK+. You don't need to download ce versions of them.

Would providing the map be better? I got a release section for the beta made. It's just a matter of time until the moderates approve it...

kinda bland, lacking in detail and scenery. but otherwise i like how it still fits the simplicity of halo 1 maps. nicely done for a first attempt. hope to see more/better things in the future.

looks decent. it might be helpful if you posted some pictures of the layout just so we get a better idea of the gameplay. but great work so far.

Looks nice for a first map. Are those lights in those rows all different scenery or all one scenery?

I think he modeled them into the map. Just like how bungie did for chironTL34, Wizard, and basically all the human themed multiplayer maps. Am I right?

^If so, then great job. Some people place too many as scenery and mess up major aspects of the map.
