I just got WoW and I'm a complete fucking newbie!!! I clicked this guy and he started killing me!!! Why the fuck is he doing this?! I thought this was an RP server not a PVP server!!!! How the fuck did I go PVP?! I just clicked this guy as he passed by to see stuff about him and all of a sudden I go PVP and he starts attacking me!!! His level is: "??"!!!?!! WTF is going on?!! My fucking clan buddies are not online!!!

If you just started there is no way for you to PVP, you have to be out of your home territory which is level 16~21. Also RP servers are for faggots they're exactly the same as regular servers except with more morons.

Actually if a high level player walked into your area and you attacked him first that's your fault, they can't hit you until you hit them in your territory.

Perhaps the World of Warcraft forums (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/index.html?sid=1) would be a better place for you to make prolific use of exclamation points about the game than here.

Postscript: Please don't use exclamation points like that. There's a point beyond which they just get annoying (you were beyond that point).

The ?? means he is more than 10 levels above you.
To be informative here is what could have happened:
1.You right clicked him/her or you pressed an attack and the hit landed on the first try. (fairly rare to get a hit on a higher level unless he was under-geared.)
2.You somehow enabled pvp via a button or menu. Right click your name and make sure that pvp is off if you don't want to pvp. Also i think there is an option in the menu that will automatically enable pvp.
3.You previously attacked another pvp flagged player (maybe in a duel).
4. While flagged you didn't wait five minutes on friendly territory before leaving, once flagged in contested territory, the only way to get out of pvp mode is to re-log, or go to a friendly territory and wait.

Just my opinion.

I'm level 13, this happened in BloodHoof Village. I pay for my own subscription so there's no chance of me shoving a remote up my ass to piss off my parents. I couldn't find a relevant forum for this on the WOW forums.
