"Finally witness the CGI/Machinima Hybrid from FireDragon04.

After a tragic event with the UNSC Star Fell Fifty Years ago, Two Spartans are sent to a remote planet to find out what really happened there."
Gotta love Machinima.com

So yeah anyway, they finally got round to releasing this, it weights in at 15minutes. I do wish i did somethings differently, but for a machinima, i think it turned out pretty good.

The whole cataclysm thing was a let down. I was expecting more of a story and explanation and we just got some guy with a creepy voice. We don't know who he is, what happened to him, what his motives are, or how he's going to accomplish anything. Then the spartans somehow understand it all and blow him up. I don't even know what they were trying to stop... some cataclysm that made no sense? The helmet scenes were cool, but the mix between first and 3rd person seemed odd. I think there are specific times when the helmet view was great, but sometimes it seemed unneeded and I'd prefer it if the scene was more cinematic. As for the CG elements, I think they added a lot to this machinima and set it apart from others. What bothered me about it were the camera angles during the CG shots. It was annoying how the camera kept circling around the point of interest (for example, the pelican investigating the Star Fell). The helmet view during that scene was also very restrictive. I wanted to see more of the Star Fell in a wide angle shot with the pelican flying by, but you couldn't see anything. I think it was good until the ending and was overall worth watching.

overall worth watching.
Thanks for a constructive, polite and intelligent post Con. Glad you liked it at least a little, because i always had worries that no one would like it, and it would be the Machinima worlds version of '2012' haha. :iamafag:

I'm not the best script writer in the world, so it does kinda suck in that way. But was good to put something together that is all my work. So thanks for the comment.

I enjoyed the movie a lot, but you could have put a little more into the scene where the ship is blown up...

The writing was extremely poor, for a Machinima, this can make or break it. And sadly for me, it broke it.

"Something happened down there that caused this to happen."

"Whatever happened here, happened because of something hidden here."

"This place has had its grave already dug."These lines are horrendous, did you actually create a script or was it improv?

It was mildly interesting, I never felt connected to the characters, therefore I didnt care what happened. Since you've been associated with Machinima.com, in my eyes your work feels rushed and not well thoughtout.

Do you actually get paid by Machinima.com for this?

Overall I liked it, but I felt the story you tried to create was far too big for such a short video. Great CGI work though.
