My gf's dad has an HP All-in-One Fax/Scanner/Printer/Copier that is scanning just fine but the file doesn't show up on the computer. It worked fine before I upgraded his laptop to windows 7, so after it didnt work on windows 7 I just figured I'd uninstall everything HP related and get the printer driver and application for win 7 (32 bit) and it would work. I got everything in one package from the hp website for windows 7 and that printer. It says its saving the file for a split second but its never on the drive.

The printer model is C6180.

I've tried running it as an administrator, and I've made sure it can print. It's just whenever I scan it, the file never gets to the drive.:raise:

I know this site isnt the biggest out there but I'm surprised nobody has a clue as to what this could be.

I haven't had a chance to try it in W7, but I was having the same problem but could use the built in windows fax and scanning program to scan the picture. It was somewhere in the control panel in XP.
