There is a weird bug in H2V's scenario files. So here is a description of it; you load a custom map locally and it appears to play fine, then you play the map online against some others and the game suffers from strange lag that makes you walk slow, jump low and drive slow (the turret on the hog shakes when you drive as if you where driving through something). After awhile you may die and your body may be stretched in various directions while other times it will pass until the end of the game.
This has nothing to do with your ping.
I believe this is caused when you add too many objects to your map from Sapien. The first indication that this could happen is when you just dropped a new object (in Sapien) and it either fails to appear or it appears in all black or some other all-solid color. Do not save your scenario at this time. Close it, back it up, reopen and remove at least an object or two before saving and testing further.
When I've encountered this issue the only thing that helped clear it away was reverting to a previous scenario.
