Oh look, Disney is making a real live action film about a really good video game series, and therefore putting the series into a tailspin.

Get this, this whole thing is backwards. Normally, the movie is made first, and then there could be a video game based on it. For this, the video game came first, and THEN the movie comes out.

Worst of all, it's made by DISNEY. I assume that they would crap the fuck out of a great game series, but hey, I could be wrong.

I like to see that it has a movie, but I already played the EXACT game (See here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sands_of_Time)) that the movie is based on.

So, if you plan on seeing this movie, don't waste your time, get the game instead. I am sure it has more flavor than Disney's ever will.

Saw a trailer for this today when I went to see Avatar. It looks ok, a little more brutal than what you'd expect from Disney. I almost want to see this, but maybe I'm hoping too much from Disney at this point.

Also, vidya games based on movies suck because they're rushed. Prince of Persia has been out for a while, so the movie might be halfway decent for the time put into it.

what

Uh sorry, let me put it this way.

Normally, a movie is made first. Then, if the movie has good sales, it gets a video game (Sometimes). However, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was originally a video game made back in 2003. Right now Disney is making a movie based on the game. Thats why I said it was backwards.

Sorry, I didn't know you had no reading comprehension.

Why don't you actually read the sentences BEFORE posting, and then talk to me.

Because if you actually read it, you would see what I am trying to say.

:realsmug:
There are lots of video games based off movies.

There are also lots of movies based off video games.

Therefore, it isn't backwards.

whats about games based off books, or books based off games or movies based off books OR EVEN BOOKS OFF MOVIES!

it's not unusual at all.

Nah there was a thread a while back but it's long gone

I'm going to give the movie a chance to not be absolute shit personally. While I'm not expecting Oscar-winning greatness, the source material has the potential to provide some semblance of a plot and plenty enough awesome action.

Hell, a vidya movie that's not complete balls is quite the step forward in and of itself.

Just because it's Disney doesn't mean it will be bad. If anything, it's great that they're behind this. Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have plenty of action movies and special effects under their belts. They also do wonderful jobs with their old world looks, as you can see from the trailer and the Pirates series.

Looks pretty good to me.

Honestly, if I had a pick of a studio to make the movie, I would have picked them.

As far as video-game movies go, I thought this looked like a more promising film.

Note how all four of those movies sucked.

Even though I always thought the Prince of Persia series would make for a good movie.
