What about the camera that took pictures of the Camera?
Is it me or does your camera look really dirty? Clean it if it isn't just me.
Also Nice lens. 3/4 x 1k USD.

D300
MB-D10 Battery Grip
18-135 f/3.5-5.6 (replacing this hunk of junk with a 24-70 f/2.8 when I get back to Hong Kong)
35mm f/1.8
50mm f/1.8
D80
MB-D80 Battery Grip
SB-600 flash.
And, welp, 13 other film cameras.
That case is pretty impractical for anything other than extended storage, get yourself a real bag, hth.
Also, I see no point in this thread beyond "hurr durr, lookit my equipment"

I have other means of storing the camera, but I prefer this one. Also I think that is the point to this thread? Lol
e/ the pics make the camera look dusty cause the camera taking the pics is shitty sorta lol

I have a D40x. It's kind of on the lower end, but it's a fun little guy. Stock lens + zoom lens.

I have $200 to spend, what is the best tripod I can get while also getting this:

I was looking at some before, but you had said its best to get one with a ball head, which I cant find many of.

Firstly, I would recommend a bigger bag, I use the 6 Million Dollar Home (iirc, other wise it's the 7 Mil)
As for professional-grade tripods, the legs and the heads are sold separately, which is probably why you're having trouble finding them.

Bump!
So a few months ago *more like 7* I was asked to be a photographer for a wedding. Lets just say the wedding paid off and I upgraded a lot of things:
Lens:
Got rid of the 75-300, because it was pretty useless. I now have a 24-70 which came out to a price of about 2k. I absolutely love it! Worth every penny.
Filters:
Because of my new lens, I had to get different filters. Henry's was nice about it and gave me my full amount back for them. :)
Battery mount:
This is one of my faviroute features of my camera. It's amazing! First, It takes AA batteries, and if those die on me, I am able to switch that cartridge out and replace it with a cartridge that is specially made to take the D300S batteries. Plus I have the orginal D300S battery inside the camera. So I have no problems with battery life now. The mount costed about 500 bucks. How, and now I can rotate my camera and take pics as well.
Tripod:
I bought a new tripod, that came out to about 1K? Its made by Manfrotto, but I didn't get a chance to take pics of it. lets just say its really really big and heavy.
Flash Softbox:
Not much to say here. Works really well, and it was only about 80 bucks. Oh and its really big, but it folds inward when you want to pack it. :)
What I want now is:
-A beg to carry the camera and accessories as the case is really heavy and only useful if I'm staying at one location.
-D700 body *Maybe*
Pics:
*Note: the pics make the camera look light, but its actually really heavy. I don't mind that though*

Holy crap, a nikon battery grip costs $500? I can pick one up for my 400D for less than $60. Also, a tripod that's that expensive shouldn't have "heavy" as one of its features.
Oh, and after five years i've finally upgraded my 18-55 paper weight kit lens for a second hand 17-40L. Yay me.
e:Where'd you pick up so much ram for your camera? I've been looking around for some but never found any

I'm a Canon user, worked my ass off and saved up to get a 550D and 50mm Prime, took me quite awhile to save up the money and still live on what i had made...etc
Then a friend of mines mum goes out and buys him one, plus 3 lenses (tops of £2000) just so he can take photographs on their holiday to Canada.
I'm so fucking secretly angry by this... anyone wanna help me out and explain what this feeling is? ANNOYANCE? hahah! He keeps asking me questions about how to use it and stuff, he's never touched an SLR let alone a DSLR. Never done photography... nothing.
Just annoys me because i've done 2 photography courses, and its been an important hobby for me since my young teens... i've got a bloody degree in photography too. And its a key part on my new university course.
OK I'm done ranting.
Anyone else a fan of 50mm Primes? I love the little things, they look great on DSLR Videography aswell, DOF is gorgeous.

Yeah yeah your right, i was just rage writing and not thinking straight haha. I'll have a degree in a few years duhhh haha! Yeah exactly it'l be a waste, i bet it'l get shelved after he goes to canada. He keeps asking me how to do timelapses, and it just pisses me off so much that you'd buy something you don't know how to use. I'm not going to help him with it though... he can go fuck him self [/bestfriendever].
