1Ghz proc, android, and lots of other goodies make this a beast of a phone.

shame about the price and the shitty plan they require for the subsidized price.

anyone plan on getting it?

Any functionality it brings, you know the community for the iPhone will bring it to the iPhone.

...and vice versa. Except the only difference is that you don't need to void your warranty and jailbreak Android OS if you want to install an unapproved app.

Oh, and you don't need to be stuck on the nation's shittiest wireless network.

T-mobile isn't much of a step up.

I don't really know much about it so I guess I'll ask here: Do you have to pay extra to get a new phone in the middle of a contract, and about how much does it annually cost to use a smartphone?

I have never used T-mobile and everyone I know who used to use it 5 years ago has switched to Verizon, so I can't comment on their network. However, when I was making that statement, I was referring to Android OS overall since the OS is on multiple phones on multiple networks.

Normally you can upgrade your phone at any time, but you'll be stuck paying the full price for it. Either that, or you will have to enter into a new two year contract to get the discounted price. Usually there isn't an early termination fee attached as long as you are entering into a new contract with the same service provider.

fyi though, adobe flash player is coming to the android OS in early 2010, this means things like hulu, rvb, all that crap can now be watched on the phone. According to adobe, they tried to develop it for the iphone back in 2008 but apple never got back to them about it, so it never happened. Lemme see if I can find the article I read that on.

Really sick of the Google phones having that stupid trackball that Crackberries have.

Holy shit, I can't believe they can squeeze 1 ghz into that tiny phone! One more Ghz and they will eclipse my computer!

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but isn't Google's involvement in so many things a little creepy? Not to mention their unofficial and what appears to be disturbingly ironic motto: Don't be evil...

They've got their fingers in email, in our phones, what we search, etc. Next thing you know they'll be rolling out Google TV or some other such rubbish.

It scares the fucking hell out of me; and again, yes, I know that I sound like a psychotic priest who took to much LSD while reading scripture and watching horror movies.

I'd be a little worried if it was Microsoft though...

Google is just damn good at bringing the public what they want with ease of access and functionality.

Germany prohibited Google to make Google Earth Street Views here. Infringement of privacy...no other country steps up...wonder how many lobbyist are in place.

Btw T-Mobile is a German monopolist company which sucks.
