I posted this over at the ubuntu forums, and maybe someone here can help.

I recently went through the very long process of installing ubuntu 9.10 on my ps3 via linux.

After I finished installing it, it launches kboot, in which if I press enter, which started the boot process on YDL 6.1, does nothing, is there anything special to type to get it to work?

I hope someone can help!

You asked this on the Ubuntu Forums? That's the wrong place. You want http://psubuntu.com/forums/

I've never given the Install Other OS option a second glance. Anything exciting you've discovered so far?

Right now, I've got to work on getting my friend to make me a custom distro for linux based gaming on the ps3.
But so far, as long as you have optimized the system (stopped all non needed processes, then you should be good to go)

Isn't it true though that any other OS has no access to the RSX so all gaming graphics have to be emulated by the cell? I heard that somewhere...
