Nvidia is doing this little thing with a flash player beta that is supposed to make it a lot less stuttery and skippy.

I'm loving this so far, I've been playing youtube HD and been noticing a lot less times where the whole video has to freeze up to render, it's great, I can render HD just as well as normal videos now =P.

This is relevant to my interests.

I have an ATi card so this was never an issue for me.

I've been using it for a few weeks (maybe a few months? I don't remember when...), and it's really nice for videos. There's a few glitches with the Flash beta (as in, actual swf files get all fucked up), but the videos are hella smooth.

I've never noticed any stuttering or anything when playing Flash video... Just buffering pauses and such. Is this for lower-spec systems that have hardware limitations on playing Flash video?

Yeah, I think it's mostly for netbooks with NVidia Ion processors.

Yeah I dropped back to 10.0 after using it a bunch... Beta 1 wouldn't play g4tv.com videos and such... Beta 2 played everything... but liked to crash on bitgravity streams and such...

I wonder what they did on the technical aspect site...did they add new instruction sets?

I just know it makes my flash video render a lot better, I think the lowest card it supports are 7800gt's so its not for really low-spec systems. For me it stopped all the pauses for buffering, stuttering and everything for youtube and other flash videos.

This is more for systems with slow CPUs, and to help regular systems play 1080p 3D youtube videos I guess??

Well, at least it's nice to see them trying to help out the people with such a prominent problem.
