Situation: Me and a friend are going to the same university (If we BOTH get in). During the course we are both doing, you have to design, and make a game. And we both want to do the SAME thing.
Idea: GTA type game but of around stoke-on-trent where we live. Of course small changes so that it looks decent as where we live isn't the best looking place.
It will have loads of different game types,
e.g.
Zombie mode - Survive a night in the dark, like the movie "I am Legand".
Deathmatch - You don't need an explanation!
Race - yadayada
Freeroam - YES! Do what the fuck you want, just don't blow my house up :(
ect...
We will probably try and make it sort of realistic and difficult to find weapons, as in the UK not everyone owns a RPG tbqh.
What I want from you: All I am asking for is name ideas for the game, but what I really need are ideas for the project name, like a code name which sounds cool.
e.g. Project Natel (Microsoft's thingy).
Note: I am not looking for crit on the aim of the game, as I know that it would only sell to a niche audience... But we don't care whilst we are in university as we would be using the concept to learn not make money... duh!
Thanks :)

How about some realistic ideas?
Something like "Project Renegade" or "Protocol 1 - Survivor"

Hunter you need to start cultivating your own creativity, so far I have seen none in anything you have really done... If you are trying to get into a school by designing a game, and can't even think of a good name... Well then you are either lazy, not taking this seriously, or extremely uncreative. There are going to be other people applying for this place I assume, so why not start looking up important things in your life, or looking around sites for inspiration via images and posts, not by making a thread and asking for a name for your game/ project.

It sounds like he's already in the course Chains. Besides, a name is a very small part of a project like this. Just because you can't think of a name for something doesn't mean you're uncreative.

I'm finding this from his models too, all I have ever seen him do are halo remakes or models from concepts, nothing of his own. I am not trying to attack him, but it would be nice to see some creativity on his part.. For all I know I could be mistaken and he is extremely creative, but just his past models then the game storyline and now needing a name...it's all..well.. unoriginal.

project kill it with fire.
also, you suck as an artist.
you're like a chinese, you can only copy, and not make anything yourself.
and now you want to make a game, i wonder how that's going to turn out.

My situation: I am in college which is where we go after school, if we choose.
Next we can chose to go to university where advanced course's are, like game design ect... (At school there is fuck all like that, just English, History ect..)
We have to pay for university though. I have applied for the course, and I should hopefully get it. During that course, we make a game, as explained in my first post, so this is my idea.

What, just because I have not modeled anything custom yet. I was waiting for some posts like these, I have had the same fucking thing from my mates...!
"Oh, you will never be able to do that, you fail!"
They don't know I model (copy), but they still say it. Is a bit of encouragement too much to fucking ask for!?
And I think I can model stuff without copying. I don't bother modeling custom things, because I don't fucking want to yet... If I enjoy making Halo things then quit giving me shit about it. Damn...

if you think you can do it, prove it to yourself, what do you need encouragement for?

Well I don't need people saying that I won't be able to do it.
1. There is NO need AT ALL for that.
2. What the fuck is wrong with KIND words?
3. I did NOT request crit on my idea, only ideas for a name. I knew there would be a post I did not ask for, which is why I clearly stated in the first post what I wanted and did NOT want.

I'm sorry but I'm finding myself agreeing with neuro. You've done nothing original and now your game idea is taken from another game, based on where you live instead, then having a mode based on a movie?
Where are you going to get your concept art? How are you going to do anything original?? This is a chance for you to finally do something that isn't a replication of what someone else already did, but, you're doing it. Again.
