View Full Version : Should I Sell This PSP?

About 2 years ago I got a broken PSP from someone. I checked it out and the firmware was bricked on it and was basically useless. So I tossed it in my closet.
I ran into a guy who had a hacked battery this week and asked him to flash the firmware back on. So now I have a fully working hacked PSP.
Should I sell if for 60 bucks or keep it? I know jack shit about the PSP and especially what a hacked one is capable of. Are there any really good games or emulators I should check out or what?

Emulators, emulators, emulators.
Pretty much the only reason PSPs are even available anymore.

I have a PSP, but I can't for the life of me find a Pandora's Battery that I wouldn't have to order out of China.

I guess you can do everything that a normal un-hacked PSP could do. I've got an unhacked PSP-1001k (the old heavy fat one) and I use it for watching movies, storing pictures, as an MP3 player (a large one but hey it was free right?) and I play the odd PSP game on it. A PSP with a decent-sized memory stick can be useful for transferring data as well as showing some media.
As for a hacked one... I hear there are a lot of cool things one can do with those. I've never felt a need to hack mine though. It does a lot even as is.

I have a ipod. Which is by far a much more effective media player.

Yeah, an iPod is much more compact and can have a bigger memory, for sure. Just throwing the suggestion(s) out there.

Emulators are illegal? Since when?
Keep it for porn.
Sorry. I don't look at porn while I'm at school. I know a guy who does though.
give it to me as payment
The only payment I can give you is my love.

1. Emulator links wouldn't be illegal, ROM/ISO links would be.
2. I don't have any links/a PSP myself. I just haven't met a PSP owner that has doesn't have more emulators than actual PSP games.

Can't PSPs emulate PS1 games perfectly?...
That's the only reason why I'd want one....

A friend of mine was playing FF7 on his PSP way back in 2007 or 2008, so probably.

the ps1 emu is still an alpha, so don't expect it to run all that great, if at all.
