This time by a (very) disgruntled customer.
A 44-year-old Darwin man pushed a shopping trolley loaded with jerry cans and fireworks into the TIO Insurance offices, set it off, ran like fuck down the street and handed himself in to the police. 15 injured, a few seriously. Definitely not a terrorist act but it stirred Darwin up pretty good regardless. Apparently the man was known to the police and had made (and carried out) threats against insurance firms and their staff before.
Take that insurance companies :allears:

First of all what the fuck is Darwin. I'm guessing its a city in Aussieland? You need to clarify that. Regardless, that's pretty crazy.

Darwin is where my brother was born. :downs:
It's the capital of the Northern Territory (territorys being distinct from states for some reason which I assume is based on their (lack of) population) of Australia, named after the Scientist of the same name.

Kinda confused how you just say Darwin... if you mean the award, he didn't actually remove himself from the gene pool so I fail to see where the Darwin Award is in this case.

Looks like an insurance company should have had fireworks insurance.

A "territory" is simply an area which hasn't filed to be a province/state yet. In the US (don't know about you Aussies), territories have a limited amount of self-government compared to actual states, as they haven't joined the union, they've just been claimed by it.
Technically, the Philippines and Puerto Rico are both U.S. territories; they're allowed self-government, but their territory has been claimed by the U.S.
Sorry about the offtopic-ness, just clearing up a few misconceptions.

Fuck, use some common sense. If you actually read the post, it becomes pretty clear from the context that Darwin is a location (in this case, the capital of the NT). I shouldn't have to explain things to you guys that even a five-year-old would pick up on. :ugh:

Well that's strange..
You'd think someone would notice he had a shopping cart full of explosives.
