I'm gunna get a new guitar for my birthday.
what i'm looking for is a new guitar with:
Passive dual hum bucker pickups
a fixed bridge with fine tuners (Piezo is the bridge maybe, something like this (http://schaller-guitarparts.de/hp135020/Bridge-Tailpiece-Combination-456-Piezo.htm?ITServ=C68bd8645X126ad1c6f4cXY107e)
24 fret (preferable similar neck dimensions to my 7 stringer (http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/electric/ibanez/products/RG1527.htm) obviously not as wide though)
5 way switch
6-string
Gotta be good looking.
I've been looking around and i just cant find a guitar with these features anywhere.
anyone know anything that might be Useful?

Amp. AMP AMP AMP.
or MIDI. or both.
Advanced guitar tech has only to me, encouraged more douchebags to ruin music by thinking that speed is a substitute for quality and keep them bickering about wood and stupid shit, totally missing the music part.
Fancy guitars are nicer to play on I guess. Fuck that though. I like my oily nasty strings and my pickups that fall into the body over and over again. The smells on my fingers, all the dried up snot on the fretboards.
Actually, alternate guitars are fine, guitar I really want is a Jazzmaster. Never played one, but they sound fucking nice and look fucking nice.
http://www.brooklynvegan.com/img/music/sonicyouth/fender25/jazzmaster.jpg
It's pretty much a bass, but it handles like a guitar, and is played like one. It's not fat enough to piss you off, but has that deep woody reverby tasty sound.
That, and this guy used em
http://andyhannon.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/robertsmith1989_269.jpg
Now he uses a tinny sounding shecter or something though :golfclap:
Honestly my opinion, save your money, there's nothing wrong with your guitar, certainly whomps mine, just get good stacks and a nice midi setup(if your getting a midi, GET A NEW SOUNDCARD. Onboard sound makes an interference click every so often and it's fucking annoying). Get another guitar only if it's really pissing you off. Mines sorta getting like that, but I still love it. It's mainly the feel of the guitar that's concerning me now.
Well, actually, get a Whamola.

:neckbeard:
TL;DR: AMP. I'm not sure if you got one since I've seen you, but fuck christ get a proper amp. My Line 6 isn't like, holy shit, but it's big enough to take around and sound loud, but not too huge so that it gives me scoliosis and make me look like a douche.

I love their LP style, was even going to replace the pickups in my LP's to theirs. expensive guitars but very sexy.
OP, i really hate that bridge style. i've found, after many years of playing live, that they're unreliable. the more you have the more that can go wrong. that's just my experience though, and from being on stage i just prefer something more durable that holds tuning.

If you're really into working on your own guitars, I'd suggest an inexpensive one that is still built fairly sturdy (solid neck/headstock and body), perhaps modify and re-paint the body to your liking, then get some new shiny hardware to install in it (new pickups and wiring?). I don't know a whole lot about working on a guitar's innards, to be quite honest, but a friend of a friend has a fairly simple Ibanez (not too expensive but with a solid design) with a flat black paint job and a custom bridge, two humbuckers (bridge and neck) and one single coil in the middle, wired to his liking. He took the original Ibanez and modified it himself.
If you're not really into making a custom guitar and want something a little more retail, I'd go along with SiriusTexra's suggestion of a Jazzmaster; they're pretty nice.
I'm very interested in looking at custom guitars these days; went to a hand-crafted guitar show a few months ago and saw some really nice work.
EDIT: Also, @ SiriusTexra - What model of Line 6 do you have? I've only got the 30-watt Spider III.

I have the Spider III 15-Watt...they are decent but all amps I have heard are better :P
of course nothing beats German Handcrafted Engl amps :3

the deal is that while i love my 7 string to death there are areas where it falls short.
Tuning.
It's great when you get it in tune and it lasts a long time, HOWEVER it's just a pain in the ass to tune.
Thats why i'm looking at a fixed bridge, and after having the fine tuning on the 7th, i need it again.
It's fucking brilliant stuff tbqh.
While in expensive guitars are great and you can put the hard ware in yourself they fall short in playability.
If you want good intonation and tuning on 24fret monsters then you really do have to pay more :/

Just lock the trem. Works for my cheap Ibanez :P

you don't have a locking nut?
does your 7string have a floyd rose?
Shouldn't be to hard...just use the fine tuners on the bridge...

A floyd rose without a locking nut? Ha...

it's not a question of hard, but a question of patience.
unless i literally block it and put pieces of wood under it, it will move and go out of tune.
I'm not talking whole notes or half notes, but i like to have it absolutely perfect, as well as my intonation.
I play alot up the neck and i'm kinda all over the place, up high, down low, so it doesnt have to be good, it has to be perfect ect.
Plus i do use the whammy on my 7th so stopping it is out of the question.
I need the 6-string as a get up and just go kinda guitar, that allows me to work with very large ranges of tuning very quickly.

as far as staying tuned, you're not going to get great performance out of anything with a whammy, but you could make it a little better by investing in some tuning pegs.

I'm kind of in the same boat looking for a guitar, but if you don't mind buying online and off-brands, I'd highly suggest Rondo Music's (http://rondomusic.com/) line of guitars. I bought a Les Paul (http://www.rondomusic.com/product2711.html) style from them and absolutely love it, it's definitely on par or better than the Epiphone's I've played closest to the price ($400 epi vs $200 agile). Currently looking at this (http://www.rondomusic.com/sr1pg.html) one, seems kind of similar to what you're looking for but you can easily go for more and get something much better.

Dude, no point at all in getting a new guitar if all your playing is metals.
Distortion doesn't get any different, just louder with different effects. more trebel, more mid, bass etc. Guitar tone and sound get chucked right out the window.
Heavy distortion has become the new kazoo, I'm afraid.
Just get a bigger amp if you want to play that stuff. Ideally if you want to sound super hardcore you want a really nasty dirty sounding guitar.
All that pristine un feedbacking hum fizz shit that noise gates itself off when it stops being played from a fancy precious guitar just defeats the purpose of listening to it. All the screeching nasty shit is the reason I like the metal I do. That's my opinion anyway.
As I said earlier, get a midi/monitor speakers setup for your computer, and get recording with nice quality and you'll be much more satisfied.
Also, this wouldn't be a guitarthread without this in here:

Oh, and someone asked about my line 6. It's a 120 watt thing, can't remember what it's called exactly. I think my pedal sounds much much nicer in good headphones though. Just need to get an amp without preamps and mixers built into it so i can use it properly. It's a really great practice amp though. Right now the inbuilt shit in my Line 6 fucks with my pedals sound, so I have to play one or the other. My pedal (http://www.chrisguitars.com/johnson-jstation-0701.jpg) sounds far far superior in headphones, never had the right amp to show it off though, a shame.

It's personal preference but in my opinion metal sounds like shit on a strat. High Gain pickups are a must...

but i'm not playing thrash or any of that shit.
I want clarity in my distortion.
I get my effects from pedals rather then Hi Gain, i'm not playing shit like pantera or slipknot or anything like that.
And dane i got an amp already.
Pus i use a heap of clean sound as well, and a dirty nasty sounding guitar is no good when it's trying to play clean.
TL: DR
I dont like nasty and dirty, and i dont only play metal.

High Gain does not mean distorted. Let's say the sound is precise even though it's distorted. You get that nice chuga-chuga sound on an muted string :P
Oh well...just go to a store and try some if you can. In the end we are just talking about minor things here. More important is look, the feel of the guitar and features.

Well i've been talking to a couple of people (not store clerks god no) and i've decided on the Schecter Hell raiser C1 with a quited maple top in black cherry finish.
this one
http://www.woodbrass.com/images/woodbrass/S+C+1HR+BCH.JPG
while it's a little differnet from the original specs i was looking at the string through guitar should give me much better tone and the fixed bridge will give me completely stable tuning.
the guys i talked to know a fiar bit and have been playing for ages and one of them owns another schecter and a les paul with the string through body approach and he reckons it's the go.
Should be fun, now i've only got to get the fucking thing >_<

schecter has some sexy guitars. good choice.
beware those "bridge chisels" though. they like to cut strings. both my LP's are like that but keeping new strings on it does the trick, i'd also suggest some heavies, EB Hybrid lows, or lower; (52's or better).
