I'm interested in this myself, actually. Hopefully reviews of the machine will give a little more info than specs.

There are some reviews out already.

and a few others that have a bit more info about the video quality/FPS. Plus, this is a lot more affordable then I thought. I heard "under $1000" I thought $999 as base.

This thing looks very sexy, I'm going to try to find a reason to buy it.

You'd want to upgrade the CPU to the Core 2 Duo and get at least 4GB of ram...other than that, it looks like a pretty damn nice system.

I have an M17x and the build quality is really high. I haven't had a chance to actually touch an M11x but I imagine it's pretty close.

Upgrading to Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM and increasing the HD space to 250 GB makes it an even $1000. Not bad.

That's the specs I had. God, 8 GB RAM is overkill for that little thing. I <3 my netbook but the only game I have on it is Starcraft and with SC2 coming out sometime, someday, I'd love to play it on it with a higher resolution than I have with my Aspire One.

Well, I don't think I want to buy anything that's not SSD anymore (unless we're talking about 500 GB+), so I'm pissed they don't have a 128 GB option. But yeah C2D and 4 GB RAM seems right. Disappointed they don't have Core i3 or better, in which case I would probably jump on it right away.

Core i3 and Core 2 Duo are about the same performance-wise. To start seeing a difference, you need a mobile i5 or i7.

huh. i was just thinking of getting a new netbook the other day. glad i didn't jump to make any purchases. ever since i got a netbook i thought it would be nice to have something that could run max and have the form factor of a netbook. looks like i'll wait on reviews of this.

Can this thing actually run games well?

From what the IGN review says, it runs Source games at max fine. Others seem to run pretty well with a few things tuned down.

I would expect it to run source games at max fine. My old computer with an X1600 PRO can run L4D2 at max no problem. Source games look good and run well :D

I'm talking games that require real power. Something like the BC2 PC Beta or ARMA 2.

Considering the comparably low resolution, I'd assume it can run them just fine with a few bells and whistles lowered or turned off.

The M11x at CES carried switchable integrated and Nvidia GT335M graphics, attained 50 FPS in Crysis, and about 6,000 to 7,000 in 3DMark
