View Full Version : A free and not shitty, video (preferably .mov) to .gif converter?

I just want to show my damn animations in a workable .gif format that doesn't slow down the animation or severely butcher the quality, but all the converter programs I've found either need registration, do not support .mov or even any possible video format I could render out of Max, or they don't export out as a .gif.
Anyone have any ideas or programs that would be able to fit my simplistic needs?
Edit: I don't have Photoshop
Edit2: Thanks for the help, Grain

It's easy to do if you have imageready and photoshop.
Set up your render, and render it to its OWN SEPERATE FOLDER othewise it gets alittle hectic.
Now, instead of saving it as a .mov save as a .jpeg. It'll render every frame by itself. Afterwards, go into ImageReady, go to Import > Folder As Frames. Let it load, make any adjustments. Then, go file > open in phtoshop, Give it a minute to load every frames, im not sure but I think you have to make every frame visible. Then, go to file > save for web, click play, preview it, change anyhting you want to, then click Save. Should be done now, and it should be saving as a .gif file.

Doh, forgot to say I don't have Photoshop either but would I need that in-order to use ImageReady?
