Any Naval Nuts Here? Battleship debate!

Let's be honest, it's Friday, I'm stuck at work until 5:00, and I'm bored because I've pretty much finished all of my work for the day. Plus, I've been reading up on World War 2 Battleships, so let us begin the ULTIMATE hypothetical:

WHO WILL WIN?!

Pair it off however you'd like. I wanna get some opinions going before I throw my two cents in.

seriously though I don't think anybody's really going to contend the Yamato could have been sunk by any one of those other ships unless this debate is about which one is the coolest??

Actually, the Yamato had thicker armour and bigger guns than the Iowa. The Iowa, however, was a full six knots faster. In a straight-up one on one (without the Yamato using its 7 planes), the Iowa would have to have a crew training and battlefield conditions advantage to take on the Yamato successfully. As it were, we destroyed it using carrier-based aeroplanes, which is an example of why battleships are no longer the flagships and centrepieces of naval fleets.

As for Bsimark vs. Vanguard...it managed to sink the Hood, which is similar in class to the Vanguard despite the latter being a unique ship, so I say it would have had very good chance of sinking the Vanguard as well on account of German gunners having a knack for accuracy.
