So today I had my Sparkle 9500gt arrive in my frontdoor step but before I put it in I am wondering if this card will work on a 250w PSU?
Here is the link to the product http://www.amazon.com/SPARKLE-SFPX95GT1024U2H-GeForce-PCI-EXPRESS-Graphics/dp/B001EA6ZA4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
In the reviews for that product I read that it worked for someone that is on his 250w PSU but that he had to take the modem out of the computer. But I really don't want to try this until you and I are pretty sure it will work.
So will this card work on my 250w PSU, or will I have to upgrade?

Thanks in response!

I don't think it will.

Depends on what other specs you have. Most likely not.

I would think that a fanless 9500GT in a computer with similar age/powered components will most likely run on a 250W power supply but if it is a cheap one it might fail prematurely. I have a secondary system with a 9500GT, 3GB of RAM and a dual-core processor with a 550W power supply, though it is a cheap one. If your system has a similar setup I'd say a known name-brand 400 watt power supply would probably run it just fine.

Ah well I just found out that I can't pull it of after all. I've searched google and no luck. Well I guess I should probably upgrade my power supply.
So judging from the my Sparkle fanless graphics card, maybe this power supply will be able to do the trick?
