When Rooster posted his sub-d tutorial it reminded me of this. This is by a guy some of you may know as kaskad from CDG.net. It's a pretty good jump into the whole process of creating next-gen art using sub division and I figured some of you might benefit from this since it's pretty simple but helps with the basics for beginners.

Its a good reminder, I never had any time to watch this before but now I do. :)
Anyone have a link to the DirectX shader he used?

I'm going to sound like a dumb ass but I noticed he moved verts so they move along edges. How did he do that?
Fantastic tutorial, gonna try it out sometime.

I had to ask rooster about that black magix.
Shift+x toggles the edge constraints, you will notice the constraint toggle from 0 to 1 in the bottom left dialogue box.
